Got an early morning shot in, with the dog. The 409 IB is it for me right now, tied with The Extractor jacket maybe. But this one got more history in it. Watching @Oaktavia fade his sample and patiently (not really, but IWHWIWH right?) waiting for the release. Then getting one before they sold out, and putting it on ice for the start of the Redline Rally, that was a tough wait haha. And there is a years worth of memories in 'm already, taking them for round two this Redline Rally as a (Re)Pair piece. Lot's of happy moments happend with this CPO on, lot's of walks with the dog, and hopefully a lot more to come

️Best watch story since the history of Butch’s watch

I wouldn't say I'm overly sentimental when it comes to clothing, so I don't really have an all-time favourite piece. To fit today's theme, these are the three pieces I've been wearing the most recently (so you could say they're my current favs), combined with a nostalgic novelty tee from one of my favourite films...

I would love to be a fly on the wall when Christopher Walken tells @Giles' watch story to @Alex

Sorry to bore you. Here's another watch story. Same guy.
One day, out of the blue, a package turned up. In it was this....
It is an early 2000's Speedy case and bracelet. But this is the important bit, into that case was placed a vintage 321 movement and a Japanese racing dial. It's a Frankenstein, but built especially for me.
I don't wear it that much because it is not waterproof, and I cant be trusted with anything that "fragile".
-
@Giles - This guy sounds like a dick! Who needs people like that in our lives. I mean, come on!

I love the colours though - and I am definitely a monochrome watch guy.
-
@Giles Best I can offer is a Swatch moon watch and Swatch Blancpain as a thank you for bringing these items to the West...
All jokes aside, that's incredibly generous and a great story. I love watches myself, and my favourites I own have been gifts/have stories...
-
Fav clothing item? I guess if I don't leave the house without a cap on, I feel naked (technically correct as my head is shaved - diplomatic way of saying 'Im bald').
So obviously not a IH item and more than a single 'one'. I have a problem with collecting these things. The less said about Doc Rivers and the Bucks form this season, the better. Could be worse, could be THFC caps

IH 726 (olive). Best shorts ever made. I need to have them repaired for the third time, and I fear they may not survive another season.
So if anyone has enough dirt on Alex or Haraki to make them put them back in production I’m buying.
The shirt is the Brund one. Nice shirt, but to be honest I prefer the 9 oz flannels.

wearing this sweater made from an old blanket,
I think of those heavy metal scissors
in a workshop in Duluth
sliding across the table & slicing
in hefty, fuzzy crunches
through Hudson Bay.
the whirr of the sewing machine in otherwise still.
more snips to trim.
Made in England, then chopped up & put back
together differently in Minnesota
a few decades later.
sounds about right.

This X-post from 888XHSib thread will have to do cause I’m not putting those things back on lol. This pair of denim has been my grail piece for well over a year, and now I have it!

-
@AdamJ Yeah; I was thinking this morning about what order I would save my favourite pieces of clothing (in whatever scenario where such a thing would be necessary). The Lefty OD was my first IH pick at #3! Such a great jacket. (Not all that practical here in Minnesota, where it's either stark-bollock-freezing or outrageously hot for about 10 months or the year... but still excellent ^_^ )

I could go on and on about my five favorite things in this pic.
Let’s start with my 463s. I have been trying different cuts of Iron Heart denim since c.2010. None of them have quite been a perfect fit, until these! They’re my all time fave, in my all time favorite denim: 21 ounce flagship selvedge.
Next let’s talk about my IHB-03. I love big plate buckles, and this was a grail of mine for yeeeears before I was able to find one. I wear it pretty much every day.
Moving on up to the best flannel color way in the most snuggly brushed mid weight year-round weight: IHSH-23 purps.
Perhaps the top of the heap is my 7526J. This blanket-lined jacket with a plain collar in the classic short type III cut is on my back more often than not. We are getting to the time of year where I have to put it away for the spring and summer, and I will miss it. Shoutout to the best feature, the internal breast pocket.
Last but certainly not least, my citizen eco-drive dive watch. I tried many watches over the years trying to find one that gave me the same feeling as trying on my friend’s dad’s watch when I was a little kid. I think it was probably a seiko—I used to beg him to let me wear it when I was little, and really coveted a heavy silver watch on a rubber band from that young age. This is now my daily driver.
I feel very fortunate to have so many cool pieces that make me feel like a million bucks every day.

Fantastic five @sabergirl - great outfit! You look like a million bucks too.

Brown leather. - two loved items.
An older Alexander's of Selkirk jacket which I can only wear with a t shirt these days. The special thing about it is the weathered Buchanan tartan lining. This matches my kilt and various other accessories. Love that connection.
The boots are a collab between Grenson and the Japanese 'Foot the coacher'. Recently I swapped the leather soles for vibram wedge and love them even more
