Alex and I left the UK on Wednesday to head to Bangkok for the Pronto denim carnival. This is the first one since 2019 so we are very excited. We are then heading to KL to meet Zolo before @obbigood Johnny is hosting us in Singapore. We are then going onto Jakarta for Limbro anniversary party. Lots of travel but a very fun and exciting trip planned!
Our bags didn’t make our connecting flight but thankfully arrived
12 hours later!
So far, an amazing experience with a bar on the plane, before some incredible Thai food and “research” (shopping) as the Japanese say.
!

Happy New Year all!

We got to check out OGL in Geylang today. What a fantastic store and space they have, everything thought out, furniture, photos, decoration, all on point. Johnny and Damian then took us on a bicycle tour to check out some of the sights, and eat some food at one of the most popular Hawker Markets. Even got to fly down the pit straight at the Singapore F1 track. Thank you @obbigood and Damian for organising

First ever IH shirt I owned, purchased March 2018 - IHSH-195-RED. Gifted it to @SamD when he started as believe it or not, it's not the best fit anymore.
Pairing it open with my first ever piece of GAH jewellery, the first sample of the IH x GAH St Christopher. No chance of this being given away, one of my most cherished items.

Some random love for the crew. The last 2 weeks have been crazy busy with product coming in and out. We have received ~3500 units across the 2 weeks all which needs to be processed in, moved into the correct unit, hung bagged, put away and on shipped to retailers across the world. All while (I hope) providing the customer service Iron Heart is known for without the customer's knowing any difference. We have had less staff than we would have liked on the ground in our busiest season but we have had crew come down from London a day a week, staff chipping in from different departments and generally everyone busting their ass to keep the whole operation running like clockwork! Come Friday, the inbound logistics area looks like this after @Bailey has absolutely dominated the retailer shipping. If you would have seen it 2 days ago you'd never believe it!
Thank you to everyone, it's a busy time, but the absolute best time seeing some awesome FW product arriving and getting into the hands of you lovely lot!
well earned this weekend.

SB x IH College jacket - sample with the chest pocket, love this thing!

I recently shared that we had transitioned our courier partner from UPS to DHL in an effort to provide a better service for our customers. When I made that announcement, I mentioned that we aren't too proud to revert if a change isn't working. While I didn't expect to be in this position quite so soon, we have made the firm decision to return to UPS.
While I still believe DHL’s "in-flight" user interface is more intuitive for the end user, we encountered fundamental operational issues during this first month that would have had a significant knock-on effect on our overall service.
Specifically, DHL proved much slower and less reliable when transporting goods from Japan. This resulted in delays to product releases and, in busy periods, would potentially force "rushed" launches due to shipment backlogs. Just like our clothing, we take our time to ensure our release process and product information meet the highest possible standards, something we aren't willing to compromise for a courier.
Furthermore, we experienced instances where DHL refused to collect goods from IHUK - an issue we never encountered in eight years of working with UPS. Having customers receive a shipment notification only for the package to sit in the UK for an extra day or more is completely unacceptable to us. We also discovered that DHL does not provide a return service in many "remote" locations, leaving some customers with no choice but to drive long distances or shoulder the burden of expensive return costs.
We do not view these as minor teething issues, and uncovering them so early gives us significant concern regarding the viability of a long-term partnership. These negatives go against the fundamental service we strive to provide at Iron Heart. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this temporary switch. As always, I am happy to address any questions or concerns you may have - please reach out via DM or email so we can keep this thread clear.
