My dog is wearing her first ever period pants right now - they are not iron heart obviously but maybe something for the future?

RE: IHSH-436-RED - Ultra Heavy Flannel American Check Western Shirt - Red "The Watermelon Man"posted in Shirting
@caithangkhanh go larger rather than buy something that fits perfectly on paper, would be my advice. A wash or two and there will be prob be a slight change. If it needs more change, increase wash temp. Perfect initial fit may end in tears

This was my first release experience on IH - it did go rather quickly...
Glad I snagged a medium and asked for copper snaps addition

RE: Introduce Yourself Hereposted in Some Really Boring (but useful) and Some Really Interesting Stuff!
I've found myself here through my constant desire to find out what works best. Waiting for my first pair of Iron Hearts to arrive (eBay 2nd hand 777s). I hope they work out. I've been a Nudie wearer for a decade and recently bought two new pairs of Samurai that I returned as they just didn't fit right. Buying remotely is not without difficulty... Other than that, I am a budding Samurai (Iaido 1st dan), work with people in nature, learn shakuhachi and hand pan, collect fountain pens, climb hills, drink weiss beer and do a daily cardinal points gratitude, like any old druid should.
Looking forward to being enlightened on the denims front

RE: Tattoosposted in General Chat
I had a tattoo applied by a drunk Irish guy over 30 years ago. He was great...but inebriated... I put up with it for about twenty years. I've always said - if you're going to get a tattoo don't ever start regretting it. Anyway, about seven years ago I asked for a cover up job. You've always got to go bigger! ...and it is so addictive, the pleasure and pain
Here's some of it in process.

I've had a love affair with R2's for years. The top three are all over a decade old and still totally fine. R1s are a good mid layer for a hill day but the R2s are perfect in urbania

RE: Mindfulness (Meditation and Yoga)posted in General Chat
cheers @deadendpro - aye - all of that stuff is indeed helpful for me and so many others too. This wee video was a bit of fun really but brings to mind the value of taking care of ourselves and not letting judgement and overthinking get in the way of joy. I'm an old Ranger and have spent my whole life fairly connected to other nature both to put food on the table and for health and resilience. More recently I have been working on insight and mindfulness in nature - such an easy, fruitful marriage. I think it also fair to say that this stuff is certainly 'tune in and drop out' but also one of the antidotes to addictive scrolling and digital overload. Hard to name anybody not affected... Taking time to be still and practice being present sets us up well to respond to life rather than react. Working in with other nature gives us more insight into our ways of being. Body and soul.

RE: Musicposted in Hobbies and Pastimes
@Tago-Mago thing is... That doesn't do it for me. I was drawn by the illusion you created with your name... I remember when I first listened to Can Tago Mago, Speed Record shop, Ayr, Scotland c.1978. 'Mushroom' blew my mind. The percussion was seminal stuff. Love that band... and many others. But not this

@Fadez ...I read 'dribble' at first and nodded knowingly... there are other things in your pictures that make me wonder how many people here have a 'turning japanese' thing going on. And I don't mean in the spirit of the Vapours!!

RE: BROTHERHOOD OF BIBposted in General Chat
This is an elite brotherhood indeed. I've been trying to join via a tag 32 purchase of almost any bib since last summer. Denim, wabash, duck...any material and weight. I am going to look fantastic in them and feel even better...at least that's what the script running via my conceptual proliferation generator is telling me! I'll saunter back into the waiting room...

RE: Petsposted in Hobbies and Pastimes
@sabergirl and I do recognise this. My last boy - a german wirehaired pointer who I lost over a year ago, lived a wonderful life with us from the age of four (arrived beaten and frightened) till he died peacefully at 13. It's a great thing to provide loving kindness to dogs that have little chance in life... but sometimes you want to bring them up from scratch with only loving baggage that you have personally packed.

@sabergirl aye but they won't be the spawn of my little girl

RE: Petsposted in Hobbies and Pastimes
@sabergirl next time my girl comes into season we are going to call on the services of a big black male poodle. I haven't had the joy and challenge of letting this happen in my house but the family is all ready for it - PUPPIES! As to humane and doing the right thing, I find that one a personal choice in an almighty smorgasbord of 'doing the right thing'

RE: Simmons Biltposted in Other Brands and Shops
@Gavin666 Debs at SB is usually brilliant IMO. Sometimes a little slow but they are uber busy...not just with IH work. I've only visited the shop and tried on when buying so can't help really.

@rovdjurstorget
nice to make your acquaintance
Reading a book by Burkeman just now called Four Thousand weeks. It goes into quite a bit of 'time' finding'. Being at peace with not managing everything can be liberating!
