Enjoying the little electric-blue pops that are showing up a coupla weeks in. Such a fun fabric.

First attempt at sashiko repair. Kakinohana (persimmon flower) stitch on my N&F 10th Anniversary pair.
Did not take into account just how effeminate it would end up looking when finished, but I still dig it

@Kasi If I said I was not checking the forum daily just to see whether the measurements and drop date are up yet, that would be an untruth
I would consider arcuate colour to be predominantly irrelevant.
If I'm wearing the jeans, I can't see 'em,
and if someone's staring at my arse intently enough to notice, I'm gonna say it's not their primary concern, either.
My pair was under the tree yesterday morning. Dig the heck out of 'em. Really fun to wear.
Managed to split a finger open while wrestling with the bottom two buttons over the course of about 10 minutes. Thankfully, the ib colour is sufficiently dark to hide the crimson staining of any buttoning misadventures. Top two were way easier, for whatever reason. All part of the fun, ay.
Waist has already stretched about a half-inch.
Only took a few hours to learn that wire pocket clips will not withstand the creasing of these jeans.

My EDC while wearing these has been modified accordingly

Primary purpose of off-cuts is protecting carbon forks from being scratched by protruding bolts.
It seems unorthodox, but I guess they could also be used for repairs.
Thankfully, I am in no great rush for my pair. They'll be under the tree till Christmas morn.
Also, just wanted to mention that I appreciate what IHUK is doing regarding the tariffs. i.e. Paying the dang tariffs. This appears to be very much the exception. Everywhere else is all, "Hey, we appreciate your custom. You mean the world to us! Oh, tariffs? Yeah; you're on your own there, numbnuts."
I'm sure it's good business, but it also comes across as pretty classy.
Cheers! The blue pen lines should wash out; just haven't washed these since patching 'em.
@DeeDee85 I'd guess something like 12 hours' work, all told. Slow stuff! Had to pull the needle through with pliers pretty often, which added a bunch of time. I imagine it'd go quite a bit quicker if both of the fabrics were thinner/softer.

This piece has an air of mystery to it, for me. I bought it new sometime around 2007-ish, while I was living in Japan. I can't imagine it was particularly expensive, cos I wouldn't have bought it if it was. The flannel is very thin, but it's held up to a lot of wear. The branding just says "STEVENSON," and the little product identification label inside has long since been washed to utter illegibility, so no hints there as to country of manufacture. The Stevenson Overall Co. website says the brand was relaunched in 2005, and I wonder whether they made some cheap-and-cheerful pieces like this while they were getting up and running. Or maybe it's an entirely different brand. No idea. But it continues to serve me well about two decades later, either way!

@olblue That is approximately the most denimhead thing in the world
Good on ya.
@CosmoSix5 I have a recent pair of the raw 501 shrink-to-fits, and I'd say they fit a lot like the 634. Even after shrinking the heck out of 'em with a hot wash and tumble dry, they're definitely a lot roomier in the thighs than the 666. Like, the 666 cut would not even be an option for me.

I haven't seen many new movies this year, but The Ballad of Wallis Island is easily my pick for #1 of 2025. Funny but with a definite heart. Sucks you right in from the very start and does not let go. Lots of excellent lines that you just want to commit to memory to whip out at any appropriate moment à la Dumb & Dumber or Pulp Fiction.
Last year's fav film was Perfect Days, if that gives any indication of my taste.
@b34ns Oh, time out; it wasn't We Be Knives was it?! That store is so. flippin'. cool. Potentially a very dangerous place to go (for the wallet) when a little bit tipsy on Pier 39
Thankfully, the wire clip bent back into approximate shape without much difficulty. I have lots of experience reshaping k-wampus clips
My OG Tasman Salt is holding up much better in the pocket so far.

Apologies if answered already somewhere. What is the sizing usually like on these? Do you size down one and they stretch out a little?
You'll find a lot of different answers for this one. Starting with the most common, I'd say they mostly fall along these lines:
