I told this one to @Giles once and he had a laugh, so I guess it fits here:
A new sailor joins a ship crew and notices there are no women aboard. He asks the captain how the crew handles their “needs.”
The captain shows him a barrel with a hole in the side and says, “Use that. You can use it every day except Thursday.”
The sailor tries it and is amazed. “That’s incredible! But why can’t I use it on Thursday?”
The captain replies: “Because Thursday is your day in the barrel.”
