      Hello all, had a question regard the differences between the Wabash 12oz Western shirt indigo IHSH-62-IND and the 8.5oz Herringbone Steipe Western -IND IHSH-424-IND.
      These shirt both look identical on the site.
      Are they basically the same shirt/material but the only difference is the weight or are they also different fabrics .
      Trying to decide if I should wait for the 12oz to be restocked or get the 8.5 now.
      Any insight or preferences would be greatly appreciated .

      As always, thanks in advance,

      Jerry3times

        Completely different fabric, the lighter one is herringbone. The other is a twill that feels similar to denim.

            Wabash => Bleached Dots
            424 => Interwoven Stripe

            The twill and the herringbone have different fade behavier.

                @Aetas thank you for the reply! So does that mean with the interwoven fabric , the shirt retains an almost newer look longer than the bleached? I’m assuming it is a much softer garment as well.

                    To the untrained eye, they look the same 😜

                    I’m wearing the 8.5 herringbone today since I’m out on construction sites and it’s in the mid 70s and sunny, I personally would be burning up in the heavier Wabash. I like having both because it gives me options depending on the weather.

                      @Jerry3times I haven’t handled the fabric of the 424 in person. But referring to the pictures @Nick provided in the thread, they both evolve beautiful and fast.
                      This is what Adam Welch wrote about:
                      “The complexity of the weave, the cut, the luxuriously light yet impervious fabric of the 424, and the fabulous fade potential make this a competitive complement to the 12oz Wabash. Any conscious connoisseur would undeniably need both.”

                      To dig deeper, look at this faded Wabash or this indigo Herringbone.

                        Looking to chase after some vintage fades. Anybody try washing their denim on high spin? I realize a lot of indigo streaming is from washing improperly, ie not flipping inside out and not pre-soaking before wash. If I take my precautions I can probably blast them in the washing machine though yeah?

                          @freepickin. I never used the high spin cycle of my washer, but I regularly use the medium spin cycle and nothing bad has ever happened.

                            @freepickin I was,and have been washing all my IH gear with absolute impunity,and disregard as to spin cycle etc. I’m not a fan of contrasty fades and all of my IH jeans have old school vintage fades. When they had the theme week,I posted my two oldest,most faded pairs,if you want to take a look.IMG_2751.jpeg IMG_2727.jpeg

                              I wash my jeans on a normal setting with spin after they’re soaked through. Always inside-out. Then I tumble dry, hot.

                              I’ve gotten a bit of marbling before, but nothing too intense.

                              I’m just too lazy and impatient to baby my clothes.
