IH-1955S-142 - 14oz Selvedge Denim "1955" Vintage Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo

@MarkNo The 1955 and the 888 are definitely pretty similar but there are key differences that make them wear and look a bit different at least depending on how you size them. The 1955 has a slightly higher rise compared to an 888 with basically equal measured waist size. The taper, someone correct me if I’m wrong but I think the 888 starts tapering more above the knee than the 1955 and the 1955 will taper to a slightly larger opening from my experiences. They’re both great cuts and I’m glad to have been able to get a pair of these with how fast they went. The 1955 for me with the rise and waist size facilitates better proportions with tucking in shirts and keeps a nice pillar-like leg.

Such a great cut, so stoked to see it pop up in different fabrics. Looking forward to eventual day when a black version of the 1955 cut drops, like a 21oz SBG or 14oz bb or even an overdyed.

@Mister_Brue oh hell yeah, thank you!

1955 just rocks

Just received these. Very nice denim that feels heavier than 14oz.

For those that missed out the 1955 14oz is still available at selfedge and also Corlection store has stock
-
@AdamC How are you finding wearing the 1955 after mostly being in 888s?
-
@AdamC Good to hear, I'm holding until the next 21oz stock to focus on 888s at the moment. Looking forward to seeing the evo on yours!
