We know you love IH, but where do you think we can improve?

The shorter inseam jeans was discussed a few years back but ultimately had the same fate.
That was slightly different. We were making a special run of short inseam jeans, we had a lost in translation issue, and the opening ended up basically the same as if we had shortened the longer inseam version. Not what we wanted. So that project was put into the too difficult pile, at some point we may try again.

Also: for us long-arm apes.. we feel like almost every brand making nice shirts have too short sleeves. For me the long sleeves are one of THE top 3 features of IH!
-
@Tobi Hear, hear. Came for the sleeve length, stayed for the sleeve length

If there is a way to bring down the variance in sizing at all, that might be an area to look into. Some of the more recent work shirts I've tried on deviated 2-2.5” in the chest and 1.5” in the shoulders. Sucks to have to return items / worry if the garment will match the size chart.
On a plus side, buying direct from iron heart usually helps make sure the sizing is dialed in. But buying from other retailers size chart deviation is a real issue.

If it was easy, we'd have done it........

@Giles fair enough.

The sizing chart format in threads has taken a negative change imo. Legibility is decreased and I have to zoom in pretty significantly to read it. There's so much extra space in columns, the font is poor, the cell borders obscure the text, and they're just ugly. Looks more like the sizing charts I've noticed in old product threads. As someone who uses excel pretty often in daily work to present lots of data and calculations I'd be happy to try to help, but honestly, the charts on your web store product pages are ace.

@pechelman thank you. The way they went into the forum was a temporary change whilst we had some issues on the HTML side of things, but that has been long fixed. This is the sort of thing that easily falls by the wayside, so appreciate you flagging it and we will go back to how it should be from now

I would love to see the pocket bags on IH jeans ultra reinforced. I get constant tears on all my IH jeans' pocket bags.
I totally agree and have suggested this improvement previously. The jeans are Iron but the pocket bags are not and are the first thing to go. Trying to sew up the holes keeps making the pocket bags smaller with each repair till eventually unusable. Because of this, I now try to carry as few things as possible in my pockets, but I still always carry my wallet in my front pocket and the pocket bag eventually develops holes from the friction of the wallet rubbing. Still love the jeans, but I retire them to use for only mowing too early due to the pocket bags becoming worthless.

So have we. For some inexplicable reason, it gets no traction.....

Understood - thanks for the feedback and trying to have improved. Still the best jeans.

Larger pockets on your N1 jackets. Especially the interior pocket. Smart phones have grown in size.
-
Not much to change but:
Stronger pocket bags on phones and 1/2” deeper as phones are larger.
Longer inside legs as after shrinkage unable to wear any jeans with a Tokyo cuff.
Shorter sleeves! I know this will be a bone of contention and I know they are designed for bikers but, how many bikers wear a flannel on denim shirt or nothing else outside of somewhere like Cali or AZ and how much time do you spend riding as opposed to wearing the gear off bikes?
More colourful summer shirts and more shorts.

It won’t happen as in freight it’s all about cost per delivery etc but ups to Australia takes a very long way round and then since ups don’t operate here they throw the last leg to the cheapest operator and most of the time are subcontractors who are useless
It’s a minor gripe that I understand you have no control over
Just seems silly to ship something from the uk to Europe then to the states at multiple locations and then to Australia it’s not you guys it’s ups
-
@Alex I understand why the leg length is unlikely to change as it would bump up the cost for the few tall people that like to double cuff and the sleeves is awaits for and against but cannot understand why the pocket bags won’t get reinforced? It must be hands down the biggest complaint by wearers by a million miles? Especially as an IH saying is over engineered and compared to say Freenote or Schaeffers the pocket bags are the only thing that aren’t and let the jeans down.
