After 5+ years of searching, bidding wars and housing market swings, my wife and I finally purchased a hobby farm. The horses are coming home!
If I'm on here and posting less in the near future, It's because we have a shit ton to do to get our house listed, sold, and ready to move into the new place.
A few pics of the property. 12+ acres mostly pasture, a 4-stall barn and a really well taken care and updated horse setup (the giant barn to the left is the neighbor). We can shut the gate at the end of the driveway and be fully fenced in to let the horses roam about if we want.
Prepare for more pictures of horses, chickens, new hobby farm owner mistakes, and whatever other animals my wife brings home while I'm at work.

The farm has us busy as ever with maintenance (I live on my mower), and general upkeep.
I live in the IHV-16 and it shows!
Nola, Beau, Allie and lush pastures.
I did not know this vest existed until @Mizmazzle and I were in discussion to fulfill his wish of acquiring a 285.
When he sent a link I knew I couldn’t miss the opportunity to own this rare gem in new condition.
Now I have an IHV-16 and this IHV-15 (keep the countdown going maybe?).
This vest will be perfect for the farm. I really love the weird forgotten about IH one offs.
Thanks Mark!
@Mizmazzle I love that shirt on you. Doesn’t look too big at all. Just how a summer shirt should fit. I’m glad I was able to help you fulfill a wish and you set me up with something I didn’t know I needed!
Pics soon with a tag
S.O.P. has some great IH items on their last chance page right now. I have something en route. They also add an extra 15% off at checkout. some deals to be had.
@Denman-John you feel the tasks I'm dealing with right now for sure and then some. My biggest issue is that I'm under equipped to mow 10 acres of pasture. The 60" surprisingly does the job, but it's not the "best" tool for it especially when it gets long.
I am anxiously awaiting the slow down of growth, but as I'm typing this rain is pattering the roof.
I know about the trimming too. over the 4th weekend I trimmed around every fence post on the property which spans over a mile.
It's a thankless job that you know well.
@Oaktavia I have the "benefit" of not being a drinker anyhow. for the last decade I was a beer or 2 per week and never drunk. But I just found that there was no benefit to even having 1. I end up just falling asleep and feeling run down the next morning. It didn't long for me to lose the urge to have a beer on a Friday or Saturday night.
@flannel-slut Congrats on quitting!!!! I quit drinking altogether in March but now I'm addicted to N/A beers so I have yet to save a penny. Hearing it put into IH money savings makes me motivated to slow up on the Heineken 0.0's too (which are delicious).
@SKT Thanks Sean! we aren't remotely close to getting sick of it.
@Denman-John yes it is. Those photos show less than half the property. I'm mowing 12.5 acres with my 60" zero turn. We rotate horses around the pastures and close them off and mow them. Let them rest for about a week and repeat with the others. It's rained so much here that 2 horses can't even get close to keeping up with 10 acres of pasture growth.

@will6er you are just worried about people taking "upshorts pics" when out in public.
