SEXIH25 = Self Edge x Iron Heart 19oz Denim Jeans

@goosehd struggling to see how pulling waist tight can give give different measurements no matter how you do it unless i am missing something?!
-
It makes a difference, because we way we do it (i.e. The way Japanese factories do it - which is why we do the same, to avoid confusion when we are speccing jeans) takes into account the dip in the waistband at the front of the jean. Other ways do not, hence the difference in measurements. Take a pair of your jeans and measure both ways, you will get different results.

@Giles thanks for clarifying both. Appreciated.

For the 301s, if I want a 35” waist, should I do 36 or 38? 38 would be a real kick to the ego, but I’m guessing I could just stretch the 36 an inch?

We are getting to the point of where I can't add much more value I am afraid. We can really only talk to the veracity and the methodology of the Iron Heart measurements, I think any further questions of these collabs and their sizing would be better directed at Self Edge via email so that they can handle things on their end.
-
I know it’s going to be a crazy release but self edge has always been spot on with sizing advice on the 2 633s I have.
-
@ssherman95 Trust the measurements, and don't let a silly thing like tag size bruise your ego.
-
@ssherman95 you’ll also need to contact Self Edge as this is their exclusive release.

Will the 301 models have any expected shrink in length after 1st initial wash?
-
@koreanoodle808 almost assuredly some shrinkage in the regular version, probably no shrinkage in the overdyed version

The overdyed one will not shrink and the indigo one has been factory rinsed, so as long as you cold wash and air/line dry them you'll see minimal shrinkage.

Due to the confusion around when "Friday night at midnight" is we are changing the online release date to Saturday, May 31st at 9am (PST).

The size for my 37" waist .. 40, lol are not slim(9.25 knee) or tapered(8.75 hem). Almost glad as I like two tops. The measurements for the 36 are good. My normal IH size...
Chart is the 301OD so little chance of shrinkage. This is a good opportunity for someone with thicker legs to get into this cut so I'm happy for them!
-
@kiya haha! Thanks for the update and congrats on the collection!
-
I wear a size 33 in the 8301s SBG and they fit perfect. What size would you recommend in these? I'm nervous about the size 34 waist in these new 301s only measuring 32.5".
-
I have the 633S-142 in 36. Wearing them today to figure out what I may get. Seems like going up one size (38) would yield essentially same measurements. I'm looking at going a little more spacious so thinking about the 633OD in 40.

Y’all. Look at the way that SE measures the waist. It’s different. I would bet real money that if you get your usual tag size, the waist measure the IH way will be at least an inch more than their charts. Which is what has been gently whispered every third post on all of the threads for this release.
