Do I think the top three/10/20 were worthy? Not fully, I have opinions, and they don't align fully with the judges and the voters. But that's the thing with opinions: everyone has one. People complaining about the way it was judged? Only those who competed voted; from there, it was just the judges. Seems like the fairest way to me. I don't think there were deals under the table only to choose certain people. A popularity contest would only show who has the most friends or brand-loyal aficionados. I for one, would have liked to have seen Evan at number one, his Warehouse jeans look amazing. Just by finishing, everyone did a good job.

That hilarious! I ended up selling mine to markmont a few years later, despite the 07 being my absolute best fitting jean, because even in winter, I would sweat up a storm in them. I cannot imagine how in summer you were MTBing in them! Fun fact, I created the ALINE logo 20 years ago and they still use it to this day. I actually have a new idea for revamp so I might draw it up and send it to them but damn, I wish I did a royalty for that, I have seen so many people around the world wearing the ALINE hat. Did Freight Train and a few others too. Whistler MTB Park is just flat out amazing!

I have the 633S-142 in 36. Wearing them today to figure out what I may get. Seems like going up one size (38) would yield essentially same measurements. I'm looking at going a little more spacious so thinking about the 633OD in 40.

And to be fair, I'm bitter too! Didn't finish but not by my own accord. Got involved in a hit-and-run on my motorcycle on the highway at the beginning of November and split my jeans near in half. Been at SELA for repairs for two months so wasn't able to get any photos in to "finish." You win some, you lose some.
