Glad everyone likes the denim so much. Truly I think it's one of the most interesting denim styles we've carried from any brand, and that's after nearly 20 years of selling quite a few styles of Japanese denim...

I wanted a denim which would encapsulate all the denim styles created by Iron Heart over the years. The heft of the 21oz, the character of the SLB denim, the saturation of the Vintage denim, and the light hairiness of the UHR. We went through a few samples of different textiles to get to this one, once the samples were finished we knew we liked it but it wasn't until I had been wearing a pair of the jeans for 2 months that I realized "shit, this could be one of the best denim styles we've ever had". The way it feels, the vintage rug-like waviness to it, and the way the electric blue starts to peak out after just a few weeks of wear. It's perfect, and we're happy to say there is some denim left so we will try to do some more CPO shirts if all goes as planned for early next year (without the W on the chest, that says on the first run).

We're happy to announce that we're finally ready to release a collaboration we've been working on for (literally) five years. New fabric development in Japan has slowed down quite a bit over the years, and after quite a lot of back and forth with both IH UK and JP teams, we've just finished production on a new denim which we think is quite nice.

With this new 19oz denim we looked at all the denim styles ever created by Iron Heart and tried to produce something which encapsulated a little bit from each denim they've produced, from their 14oz all the way up to their 25oz denim.

We were so pleased with the denim we thought it would only be right to do all the "greatest hits" in indigo and overdyed versions. We have the 633 straight tapered jean, the 301 slim tapered jean, a CPO shirt, and a modified Type III jacket. All done in indigo and overdyed, along with a special printed t-shirt which will release at the same time as the rest of the collection on May 31st.

We're having a release party at Self Edge Los Angeles on May 31st with the full Iron Heart UK and Japan teams in attendance, hope some of you can make it!

After over a month of wear there's already some nice indigo hues coming through, just gave them a wash at the 6 week mark and they're currently drying.

Does the new indigo 19oz denim feature a beige weft, such as many other indigo denims IH has to offer?

What sets this 19oz denim apart from the 19oz LHT or 19oz indigo/black (aside from the obvious weft color)? Is it RHT and is the denim hairy, smooth, slubby? Something else?

I see that the "W" is charcoal grey in color (correct?), are the arcs the same thread color? Will the W be the same on the Type III or will it be red?

I think I am mostly interested in the CPO! Another 19oz CPO that is different than the IHSH-409. I'd love to know how they are different.

We have some answers!
This denim has a medium/dark indigo warp and a natural weft, so the fades will be a little brighter with wear and you can see a bit more of the weft through the warp.
This 19oz denim is quite different than both of the existing IH 19oz denim styles, we'll have specs up closer to the release plus high-res images so you can compare the way the denim looks to previous fabrics.
The (normally red) W is now in dark charcoal on all 8 of the garments, and the little woven Iron Heart tag on the pocket of the CPO is also in a charcoal/black color.

MASAHIRO MARUYAMA SUMMER COLLECTION

This week we have three eyewear releases from Masahiro Maruyama’s new collection. All three are made of Japanese titanium and acetate and come with tinted Carl Zeiss lenses with each frame’s lens color matching the frame to the designer’s specifications. As always, these lenses can be swapped out for prescription lenses by any optician.

SAMURAI COTTON FARM AND OTOKOGI DENIM JEANS & RENEWED EDITION T-SHIRT 2-PACKS

Samurai cotton farm denim jeans are here! Samurai’s new S510HXII jean is built from a rinsed 15.8oz unsanforized (but rinsed) selvedge denim woven on vintage GL3 shuttle looms, giving the fabric a raw, vintage texture with plenty of character. The denim blends Texas cotton warp yarns with Samurai’s own cotton weft which they grow themselves in Osaka, Japan, resulting in a deep indigo shade, uneven nep, and a rugged hand feel that will only get better with wear. Details include custom metal hardware, a button fly, a selvedge coin pocket, Natural x Silver Lamé selvedge ID, jacquard pocket bags, and a goatskin leather patch. The fit has a slightly higher rise with room through the top block and a subtle taper from the knee down.

Samurai’s S0255XX jean is their newest iteration of a slim tapered jean with a medium rise and a tapered leg. These are made of their custom 15oz "Otokogi" denim made of a 100% Texas cotton fiber with tightly twisted slub yarns for an amazing texture and very high unique fading potential.

Samurai’s medium weight blank tees which come in a 2-pack are now here in a reworked RENEWED EDITION. With this new version the sleeves are slightly shorter and the body is slightly longer, and the fabric is just a bit heavier in weight and made of recycled cotton. We have four new models of Rick Owens footwear as part of their newly released summer collection.

We have Vintage Sneaks in black and milk 13oz denim, Ramones in 13oz overdyed denim, and Ramones in a very heavy natural slub canvas. Rick Owens' footwear is built more like a traditional leather shoe with a stitch-down sole as opposed to a disposable pair of sneakers. Iron Heart BSPIH25 jeans are finally here. We have 633 straight tapered and 301 slim tapered fits, both available in a Self Edge exclusive 19oz denim. With this 19oz denim we looked at all the denim styles ever created by Iron Heart and tried to produce something which encapsulated a little bit from each denim they've produced, from their 14oz all the way up to their 25oz denim. The denim was woven at Japan’s famed Kaihara Mills, which is a first for Iron Heart, and the jean is finished with lined back pockets, hidden fly and coin pocket selvedge details, a special charcoal “W” stitch on the back pocket, tonal navy arcuates, and much more which you can read about on the product pages of our site.

We've also received new production runs of two different Self Edge exclusive Himeji horsehide jackets, 633 straight tapered jeans in their black SBG denim, indigo chambray shirts, and black denim jackets and work shirts.
