@Snafu you're saying the measurements SE put on the site are 1-2 inches UNDER what IH typically reported? I was thinking the xxl OD looked too small but if you're right it might be about right

I don't know what way to go size wise with the CPO. I've never tried one on. The only IH shirt I have is a 9oz raised whipcord western and all of the dimensions of it work well except the chest feels slightly tight. I'm assuming a CPO with similar dimensions would be way too snug since the fabric is also twice as heavy. The OD CPO in large seems like it would work but the standard indigo CPO in L would be a little too big. Will the standard indigo CPO shrink any in a hot wash?

I don't think this is a valid concern, no.
However, many people like to wear a CPO as an overshirt, so choose to go up a size to allow room for layering another shirt under one.

Yes, when we OD a product, we take the fully made indigo version then essentially hot wash it in black dye, so the OD measurments are the max shrinkage you can achieve with hot washes on the indigo version of the same jacket, as a rough rule.

We are getting to the point of where I can't add much more value I am afraid. We can really only talk to the veracity and the methodology of the Iron Heart measurements, I think any further questions of these collabs and their sizing would be better directed at Self Edge via email so that they can handle things on their end.

@Alex with the OD garments essentially being hot washed have you typically seen them stretch out a bit with wear. Or do they stay "shrunk" even with wear?

@Oaktavia SE measures the shoulder straight across whereas IHUK takes it from a shoulder seam to the center collar to the other shoulder seam. Measured my 293 last night to get better dialed in for this week!

That explains a lot about the very slight sizing differences in the OD/regular.
Well, so are most of our non overdyed jeans too, the difference being the intense agitation that is part of the overdyeing process. And it is primarily the agitation that causes the shrinkage.
