Seeing the Withered Fig guy:

Indigo Single Rider (IR-42). Around 20 wears in, getting some creasing on the arms and shoulder mobility is getting better… but this is going to take I think ~100 wears before it’s comfortable!
I’m sorry, did you say -TWENTY ONE- oz work shirt?
It allows me to add some IH hall of fame pieces to my cart. For free!!

7 wears in; XXL on 6’1”, 210 pounds. The arms were quite tight initially, but have loosened up nicely with wear!
For what it’s worth, I used to be a huge Arc’teryx fan. They were subsequently sold to Anta (a Chinese company), who left the BCI (better cotton initiative) to continue using cotton from the Xinjiang region of China (where forced/slave labor of Uighar muslims to work crop fields has been reported). Of course, I’m not an international trade expert, or cotton expert, or clothing expert, or… you get the point. I also don’t support 3Sixteen (India) and Post O’alls (China) for reasons in the same bucket. Again, I’m not an expert, I can’t say I have even a tenth of the information, and I could be completely wrong in my decision.
Iron heart appears to be a company that supports ethical manufacturing, fair pay for workers, environmentally conscious sourcing and development practices, and just plain appears to treat people well. It’s becoming harder and harder to find clothing companies to purchase from that can say all of those things. So, very grateful to you guys and the work that you do!
Seven things that I am not initially excited about, and then immediately have to get when more pictures/information come out. Along with, of course, the four pieces that are immediately going to sell out.
Damn, this is probably one of the fastest sellers in recent IH memory. Went from 5 XXL to 0 in a matter of 8 mins
@popvulture said in IHSB-EXT-NAT - Iron Heart x Simmons Bilt Natural Horsehide Type III Jacket:
@ShopatIronHeart what leather is this using now? Color sort of looks like Blattwerk but texturally not so much. IHG's site said Italian horsehide I think. I'd love to know more.
Also a little bewildered by the small shoulder measurements on these. XXL is under 18" which would def make it a no-go for me, sadly, especially considering this one doesn't have a bi-swing back. I've been eyeing a natural jacket for years and wouldn't mind this being the one, but it'd have to have bigger shoulders, I'd imagine.
Will leave to the experts, but I ordered this on the assumption that it’s the prior Italian Horsehide (the old Pale Rider leather), rather than the new Blattwerk leather. I’m an XXL in almost all IH tops and went with an XXL in this jacket (as all non-shoulder measurements were ideal). The widest shoulder they had was 44 cm. I’ve got 2 other IH Simmons Bilt jackets and the XXL was perfect in both (and slightly roomy for layering), so I’m hoping that’ll continue. We’ll see if I’ve made a horribly expensive mistake!
@FlavourFade said in Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?:
@T4920 very cool idea !
In addition to that I was thinking about something like hand overdyed denim as a one off special and how that would fade compared to the usual od process.
I’d love to see more use of the ‘pale grey’ overdye that was used in the 332 Anniversary shirt!
@ShopatIronHeart, I may be asking too early, but are you guys taking your (usual) light outerwear sizes in this? Or going down one? Thank you!
Thank you all for the quick feedback! Another reason this forum is a fantastic place full of great people.
@akohut , got this XXL off ebay; was new with tags!
For those that have this piece, is this what the internal sleeve stitching looks like? Bought this second hand and I’m 99% sure it’s not a fake, but this is the only thing that’s throwing me off.

@3lli0t my guess is Guilty Party. Based on absolutely nothing whatsoever
Holy moly, had forgotten about this one!!
I thought the acting was excellent. Plot has more holes than that chore coat
Kind of behind the scenes question, but was this run of denim made at a different mill than the denim for the most recent storm rider run? It appears a little more neppy this time around, but that could just be the specific jacket I received!
