I have limited experience I really liked the 21oz ib I recently faded for the Indigo Invitational if you can find a pair. I do have a pair of the UHR that I really like but I haven't put in as much wear. They would be great if you want to try the whole shrink to fit experience but with a heavy weight fabric. I do want to try XHS/XHSIB/XHSBB and the 19oz LHT at some point.

All I've tried are excellent, but for me the most fun is definitely 25oz.
21oz/SBG is great as well, enjoyable to wear while it simultaneously gets out of the way. 25oz will occasionally remind you that you're wearing it, in the best of ways if you ask me. It's one of those peculiar things that actually makes daily life a little bit better.

So XHS/XHSib/XHSbb without a doubt in my case.

I do like the way xhs molds to your form. Not sure what my favorite is overall though.

        Think it, be it.

          Top to Bottom faves

16oz Slub. It breathes so well. That’s kind of my new thing.

UHR - it’s so beautiful when fading

25oz XHS - when I was younger I put about 4-5 years in these between my regular and OD pair. Just so great. But can’t do it now that I’m older.

21oz OG - just a great year round denim that rocks. Have had 3 pairs total of these over the years

XHS is, of course, legendary, but 18 ounce vintage always seems so overlooked to me. It's got a little bit of everything to offer and it's wearable enough to be an all around, go to denim.

Looks like denim truly is the fabric of our salvation.

I’ve got the XHS, 21od, 16slb, and 14bb. XHS is my favorite during winter. I wear the hell out of the 14bb. The slb are my new pair for summer. I guess I like them all.

Agreed but XHSib is the ultimate denim IMO.

If you could pick just one pair 21oz is hard to beat as an allrounder. Everything else is kinda nice to have luxury

It's tough to choose, but if I had to, I think I would go 18. It would be more wearable for me in a 4 season environment, but I sure would miss XHS!!

each is awesome, but OG 21oz is my fave. It just does everything. Also great in SBG when you need to hide the grease stains.

Apart from the original 18oz - which I would wear all the time if it was still made, I actually don't really have a favourite, I am very fond of the original XHS and 14oz because they were both my ideas. And have loved wearing them.

But truthfully, if I am wearing it and it has an indigo warp, it's my current favourite....

21od. Possibly anything overdyed (looking at those slubs). Would love to try the 19L but if it really is heavier feeling than the XHS then I'm out.

@GardenState great take! Probably one of our most underrated denims in my opinion - I've been living in my 21ods recently, the comfort is almost criminal...

@wjw They are hot and heavy. My legs are bigger due to lifting and require more space. If there was a 15” thigh on a size 36 it could be doable. But I just need that range of motion as well as the breathability. I feel like I lost some tolerance in my age to withstand the heat. I wore XHS in Los Angeles for years. Now I only do UHR when it’s cold or snowing. I just need light and movable denim now with wide legs. No knock on IH at all. Just my body is different. It’s been crazy to see over the years that I’ve been shopping with IH. How my tastes have changed over time

@Fadez I get this I have a pair of blue denim from another brand that is under 14oz and it's super comfortable. However, I think I'll be picking up slubs at some point - they look like they stretch a ton, and the fabric is loose and thus light feeling. The perfect comfort/summer denim?

@GardenState 21ozOD was my first IH denim. I moved quickly to XHS and the ODs sat for a couple years. I'm back to wearing them again and as stated by @Ross they are insanely soft and comfortable. They are my cozy house jeans now with a newfound 2-3x a week rotation wear for work and hiking etc.
