Finally back in some black jeans after a few months of (glorious) XHS.
Excited to see how these develop over the next 12 months. Never seen a faded (or even slightly worn) pair of these before.
These have a rope dyed warp and a cheese dyed weft. Interested to see how they compare with the SBGs from last year.
Love the branding, logo and lightning bolt on these as well.
So much variation this Indigo Invitational, should be a good one.
Short jacket trifecta complete.
200 wears on these today. Love XHS.
These were washed at 50 wears and 122 wears. Won't be too long before I give them another wash, but will hold out a little longer at least.
Great to be back in XHS after a year of wearing SBG for the Indigo Invitational. That said, really starting to miss black jeans now. My love for black denim keeps growing stronger 
Been wearing these all day every day since the last submission, but no real observable difference. This is life for us slow faders 
If anything they've been soaking up some of the indigo from my 295-IB and are turning darker. Keep this up and I'll be back at square one once the competition is over

Not a whole lot of progress since last month (despite wearing these more than I anticipated). Still only on the one wash, considering doing another wash soon.
My goal for the Indigo Invitational was to reach at least 200 wears.
That has now been achieved, currently at 203 wears. Still at only one wash. I'll definitely be continuing to use these going forward, but will be wearing some other pairs as well. The longing for XHS is strong

Overall I enjoyed the experience a whole lot more than I thought I would. I imagine I'll join the next one as well.
Highly recommend giving it a go if you've been contemplating it.
First submission is in.
Not a whole lot happening just yet. Some early signs of fading around the front and back pockets and the back belt loop. Fading is always slow for me (despite typically wearing the jeans for 16-18 hours a day) and this time around will be no different.
Only 11 months to go! Looking forward to seeing your submissions.
@Crispy-Heron I got it from Denimio, but that was 2 years ago I'm afraid, so probably sold out long ago. It's been sitting unused (yes, I have too much denim), was planning to use it for the last Redline rally, but never got started.
Samurai seems to do the 25oz jackets/chore coats every once in a while though, so I'm sure you'll get one eventually if keep your eyes peeled. Samurai are also pretty good with publishing their seasonal catalogs well in advance from what I've seen, so might be worth keeping an eye on those.

@denim-dawg Thank you, hopefully I can give it some justice. Very nice on the 227-BLK! Love the IH wabash fabric, so good. (And I have an unused 62-BLK waiting for the right occasion, so I'm looking forward to seeing your 227 develop!)

If you've never tried Samurai 25oz I highly recommend checking it out at some point. Very different feel than IH 25oz, but excellent just the same.
Really looking forward to how your IHJ-149-IND will develop, I have no doubt it will be spectacular.

Happy to have this one in size 46, previously had a different Samurai 25oz Type I in 44, which was ultimately too tight in the shoulders/chest.

Agree with @yannis, and was going to say the same: Samurai 511 is closest to the 777, but not particularly close. Nice cut though, and for a (somewhat) similar fit I'd suggest sizing up in the Samurai compared to the IH.
