If I could, I’d buy a larger Iron Heart tag …

… make your own out of an IH-patch and some Velcro.

For example this ‚Patagucci‘ will imbricate the original Patagonia tag on my jacket soon.

@Alex this is a highly, respectable response. Change comes hard for many and you can’t make everyone happy. IH is almost more than a brand for many of us and has moved into a way of life. In the grand scheme of things, these evolutionary stages are a rather unique moment in brand history that gives us all something to debate. That’s why we love this forum and why we respect the leadership of the company. We are allowed to be heard and share ideas and feel we are a part of this whole organism. Thanks for that!

This thread reminds me a lot of drunken arguments with my friends about which beatles album is the best.

Even the "worst" album is still better than most things and it's fun to antagonize friends

my kids noticed last week that I have the W on my socks and asked what it meant (they are 5 and 7 so they are asking questions about everything) and my youngest also said: you also have it on your pants! So despite being subtle, they do get noticed

The Red W on the side of a jean or shirt pocket I think looks great, anywhere else such as breast aka RL, etc not at all keen. Much prefer this to the “cheap and tacky” (imo) Iron Heart stitch on on the shirt pocket.

Everything in today’s society has some sort of branding from the appliances in our home, to the cars we drive, and the clothes we wear.

It’s an inescapable fact that it acts as a form of subtle advertising and a way for others to recognize those brands.

The red “w” and the Ironheart label are small and fairly unobtrusive and I would gladly wear it than some of the “Gucci” or “Fendi” branded clothing I see worn in and around the streets.

We each make a decision to support the brands we like and want to support. I choose to support Ironheart and the people behind the clothing.

                                    Just my $.02

Just catching up here. In case anyone is counting votes, or even if not just to pop my 2 cents into the feedback on the Red W starting to appear on more shirts:

I like the Red W on the jeans and pants. It's subtle and distinguishes the jeans. (Although we all know true denimheads can tell the manufacturer from the arcuates alone and don't need overt branding... 😉)

I also like it on the shirts, but think that in that case some more consideration could be given to the colour chosen, in the same way that the Iron Heart label comes in different colours and varies from shirt to shirt e.g. white on blue on 382, yellow on black on 381. I think the Red W compliments the 386 Red, but looks maybe a little garish on 386 Green.

(That being said, I think I'm going to try and get 386-GRN anyway because the green looks so good. And I'm also red-green colourblind so those colours next to one another always makes my head go wobbly.)

There's no hard and fast rule to these things, but sometimes the overall effect is more harmonious if you go somewhere else on the colour wheel, e.g. on the 386-GRN, I think doing the W in the slightly tealy-blue of the labels would have been cool, or even the same yellow as the internal stitching for a warmer look.

                                        Take the dive...

@Oroccoco I know I'm late to this thread here, but isn't IH already "stealth wealth" by conception? I've never had anyone but a handful of haute-denim fans over the years even notice. You really do have to know what to look for and the little pocket tab isn't much of a tip. Even if someone could read it, 99% of people wouldn't have any idea what IH is. I know this is all just personal opinion and obviously I respect the tag removal completely, I'm just more curious about the stated objective of inconspicuousness.
