@Alex that was entirely the spirit in which was intended. Thanks
-
I’m offended by the actions of the pissee and his counterpart, not by a cartoon. Imagine being on the horn with Infantino and claiming the call was unjust in the same labored breath where you admit you don’t know what a red card is. Such incoherence and corruption invites whatever ridicule people want to pile on.
I don’t ever expect USMNT to succeed over elite nations but this felt like a regression at least from the last time facing Belgium in an elimination, taking them into extra time and even having a lead there for a moment. Though I guess you could argue that was largely Tim Howard.
-
@Sage954 Mate - that was a clear red card.
-
But sort of so what? Even if it was not a clear red card, there is nothing in the FIFA regulations that say, any Tom, Dick or Harry can intervene and put pressure on FIFA to change what the regs do say.
-
@Sage954 said in Football (Soccer):
It never should have been a red card and Claus has previously been investigated for match fixing.
So he was specially picked to referee this match, but forgot who gave him the brown envelope

-
The referee was investigated because of some spurious claims by the owner of Brazilian club Botafogo.
Absolutely no evidence was found. -
@will6er
The still photo looks bad. In real time it’s a yellow at most.
@Giles
Article 27. Its been used before
@IrishHeart
He was investigated for irregularities in red cards. I have zero trust in that investigation, maybe he’s just a bad ref that keeps failing up.
The bottom line is it’s all about $$$$ -
About time the forum heated up over the world cup!
