Ok guys, the heavyweight package is out for delivery !!
I plan to do the hot soak, followed by an immediate machine wash to get all the shrink out.Regarding this machine wash, it would be 30°, but what "cycle" do you guys use ? normal agitation or some sort of delicate program ? With the jeans alone (since the machine detects weight) it would be a 1 hour wash.
And would you do spinning at 400 RPM or none ? I don't mind if it takes longer to dry, but if 400 RPM doesn't hurt, why not...Cheers !

@Slash Gentle cycle, no spin. Safest option unless you don't mind marbling.

don’t forget to turn them inside out , and I would recommend no spin not even 400 rpm -
Haha received mine today. I can't belive how much stiffer they are compared to the regular XHS. Looking awesome though. Before and after soaking/washing measurements coming tomorrow.

Honestly, even more kudos to the guys who choose to buy this fitting from the start, I don't think I could. My pair might prove a bit big in the long run but we'll see; anyway I could not size down this thing
I will do the washing thing tomorrow and reports some measurements for future buyers

I successfully held off on these... Whew. And those 35's were available for a while! Congratulations to everyone who grabbed them! My second favorite cut. My favorite is on the way though...

@Slash They will fit perfectly after you soak for at least an hour in super hot water, and/or a machine wash, hottest setting, inside out, no spin, hang dry.

Well, those didn't shrink very much in fact
I did a 60 min hot soak, but admittedly I could not have a higher temp than 48°C.
After that, a normal wash (normal cycle) at 40°C which lasted for 1h05 with no spinning.Waist did only shrink 0.25 as far as I can measure (heavy fabric), the knee also 0.25. The thighs maybe 0.3.
Only inseam did shrink of 0.8.It might prove a bit big in the future I'll see, but anyway I could not have taken the size under for thighs, knee, nor waist to be honest.
I still have the option to keep washing those warm and see if I get a bit more shrink in the future.I think it sits ok now, but comments are welcome

@Slash remember, soaking hot doesn't shrink them alone... you gotta move them about in the hot water, I forget the word... But basically get them moving around in the water

@don_pipone That's the word! I was thinking aggravated and god knows what else haha, I saw he gave them a wash too after the soak so not sure how much more shrink he'll get

But yeah, I think he got most of shrinkage out of it. I did the same with my UHR‘s. Hot soak (agitated
) and 40°C wash afterwards. No further shrinkage beyond that. -
@Slash Looks great and better not go too tight with xhs. Imo you will thank yourself later for the size you chose.

Is there something different with this new batch?
I ask because this is the first time there’s no significant shrinkage. The waist didn’t shrink at all, the leg, knee and opening just barely .25 inches. The only thing that shrunk was the length. From 34.5 to 33.5.
I’ve had a few 25oz from Iron Heart and all of them have shrunk 1 inch everywhere.
Not complaining at all, they are great, just super curious.

@mlx were your other pairs also indigo/black? I find that anything dyed black seems to shrink less then just indigo dyed. Just my experience.
