Been waiting over a year for these jeans and I have done everything to find some other jeans that could take the spot of interest, but to be honest nothing comes even close. I've also checked the normal xhs in person, but even that didn't interest nearly as much as xhsib. That shiny inky navy black when brand new, and then eventually turning into high contrast due to the black weft always being there for contrast, perfect.. I believe I would prefer indigo/black easily even over xhs indigo/indigo.
Thanks for the inspiration on these jeans all of you guys who have posted, really helped a lot.
I ordered size 34 and asked for big waist. In hopes for around 34.5" measurement, Alex freeman found 34.6" for me which was perfect. And yeah the size 34, thank god I was ready to rumble right when they were released, didn't miss them luckily.
Mine were already delivered yesterday before midday, that is less than 24 hours after confirming the waist measurements, wow!
I've come to realize if jeans are not comfortable, I will simply not wear them, no matter how good they look. And I gotta say extremely happy with the fit. They don't look bad to me at least and I feel surprisingly comfortable even when they are brand new xhs.
My decision is to go for no soak, no wash, no hem, no cuff, full stack, inspired by the one and only @twin. I really enjoy stacks a lot but the heel rubbing when not wearing shoes and then breaking early is an issue. So inspired by haraki I am thinking of going with the half cuff just to save the heel rubbing, don't love the look of that but enjoy the convenience of the no rubbing and I get my stacks. But please let me know if you have other ideas.
First buttoning I took the true experience, with no tools used. At least 30min to get them fully buttoned and as a bonus blister on thumb
Thanks for the read, if you survived here. Happy to see when others get theirs as well!

This is my first flannel ever. Was never interested in flannels and even though I heard many say IH flannels are the best in the business they just never sparked anything with me. Even with the fall release video I probably just skipped the flannels section, because didn't care. Then after the watermelon starts shipping and I start to see fit posts of, I cannot believe it, it's just amazing and I need to get one.
Now that this one hit me so hard I had to go through a lot of the older release, just so I could understand that I wasn't buying into the hype. And that is the case, none of the flannels got me going except this and the pumpkin flannel.
Since I was super late with this release and it was sold out in whole Europe for my size Large, I couldn't really get one but kept on looking if angrysoulsmadrid would restock one because I they did for some other size. And just when this message pops up @robbybobby93 said in IHSH-436-RED - Ultra Heavy Flannel American Check Western Shirt - Red "The Watermelon Man":
BlackBlue loaded up a size large. Must be a return ! Here’s the link if anyone is interested !
I check angry souls madrid, and can you believe it Large is is in stock there as well! That's an insta cop and now I've had it for around week. There is just something about this. It has bit of that "ugly christmas sweater" vibe but also more orange/salmon color red that IMO is soo nice.
This was also one nice inspiration, so I knew it would nicely with green jacket:

And here pics or didn't happen:

Haven't been wearing these too much in the summer but they getting time also. Really enjoying the xhsib when wearing them.
Was quite surprised on one leg the half cuff has busted from the inside, even though I empty them out after each wear. My theory is because it is only half cuffed, there is maybe a bit of room for small stones to move around.

@AdamJ @FlavourFade My only thing I was wondering, was the stiffness. Dare I say I was expecting it to be even stiffer. See here Lowlander's very old version of this I believe in the non-fade fabric but heavily used:
@Lowlander said in IHSH-361-BLK - 16oz Non-Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Superblack (Fades To Grey):
And it's still as stiff as cardboard; it can practically stand on its own:
I can get it to that level brand new:

Or maybe xhsib and lefty's stiffness has just made everything else feel soft

@Denimhead-0 I see, in this post and after it there is some discussion about it

Personally never thought much of the arcs in general, but with this discussion realized tonal arcs are awesome. Not trying to convince you just my thoughts.
@Denimhead-0 nice relaxed fit. Did you pick a favorite already, 888-xhs vs 888-xhsib?
@Dexterous6775 I was thinking about this and it doesnt cause any extra thickness. Did you find any downsides to this, or very happy with the outcome?
@Sunnergren Funny how we went exactly same route with this piece:
Both chatted in dms that we were unsure wether to get this cpo. And now we realize what a mistake it would have been if didnt get it.
Both caught rain shower a week ago with it.
Both wearing this actively since release.
What a else to say than amazing cpo!
@twin big difference in contrast compared to new xhsib, amazing, keep wearin

@weftyarn ive been wearing similar 409, white tee and 888 sbg a lot lately. Though I don't have that sweet black to grey fades yet. Especially that marbling, really enjoy that look.
@rickno504 the thigh is measured very high close to crotch and the 777 has very tight knee. So actually due to the taper towards knee, middle-lower thigh is tighter on these.
