443 Dobby Cloth CPO

443 Dobby Cloth CPO

This was not at all on "the list"
No stress ! Nobody missed the restock !
I was bored during site migration and started browsing the thread....which lead me to a stockist
Anyway....is the fit "right" for you guys? Pictures are with t-shirt only but I'll probably wear this one more with a sweat or UHF added.
I may manage M over this L for P2P, waist and opening, but fear the centimeters lost on shoulders and sleeves will make the sleeves too short.

It arrived
I think the sizing is top notch ! Thx here also to @JoshC for having measured the remaining shirts in my size to find me a perfect match
Always some issues for me with sleeves length, but here they fit perfectly imo, and the slightly shorter length versus the charts is really to my liking . Now I really need to wash this one carefully as there isn't really room for any shrinking.

Just received mine
My first CPO but probably not my last.
I don't know why I was awaiting something lighter and softer, this is IH man !!

Joke aside, this is sturdy indeed, but I've the impression it will soften up nicely with wear and wash.
My hand were already a little blue from the trying on.
Just the perfect weight to do the "shaket" style imo when you go out at night and you need something to put over a T or a shirt, and you don"t want to wear a cardigan or a pull-over.
The fabric is really original (But I never had sashiko).
Wouldn't have minded a cm or 2 more in the sleeves; it's perfect now so I hope it doesn't shrink.
I normally look "good" with a waist around 51 and an opening of 53. This is a large pretty muchas the charts, and I don't think it looks too big honestly. Might have to do with the sturdiness, but I think it drapes nicely
Some pictures for those on the fence about the fit. The picture with the shirt closed is over a T, but I could wear it with a light wool pull over the T-shirt.
I'm 180cm and 78kg at the moment.

IB suit incoming
Color is awesome and fit is exactly what I wanted, slightly longer than my 21oz to match other clothes length

Lol received mine too ! All the things that were said before were no understatements. I'm shocked
Honestly, even more kudos to the guys who choose to buy this fitting from the start, I don't think I could. My pair might prove a bit big in the long run but we'll see; anyway I could not size down this thing
I will do the washing thing tomorrow and reports some measurements for future buyers
When dry, so Monday probably
Why are (my) thumbs so fragile man ?

Well, those didn't shrink very much in fact
I did a 60 min hot soak, but admittedly I could not have a higher temp than 48°C.
After that, a normal wash (normal cycle) at 40°C which lasted for 1h05 with no spinning.
Waist did only shrink 0.25 as far as I can measure (heavy fabric), the knee also 0.25. The thighs maybe 0.3.
Only inseam did shrink of 0.8.
It might prove a bit big in the future I'll see, but anyway I could not have taken the size under for thighs, knee, nor waist to be honest.
I still have the option to keep washing those warm and see if I get a bit more shrink in the future.
I think it sits ok now, but comments are welcome

@ZackB more fomo for you man

A bit on the long side for me, but the fabric is cool and other measurements are great and fitted.
Also very much like the "big" collar.
I had not yet the opportunity to wear it much because of the weather, but will be wearing heavily in the next SS season
It's my second IH jacket and the quality is incredible; the duck really impressed me (got the pants now too).
Little picture for those on the look for info, etc.
Surely helped me to see it worn by different body types.
I'm 180cm, 77kg approx.
It's the XL. The large was maybe a little bit better/tighter fit, but the sleeves were too short, and movement was restricted.
I kind of like the slightly more roomy look with this honestly.
Paired with the IH-555S-21

I received mine begin of the week and must say I also noticed the pocket thing while looking in the mirror, and I'm not normally good with details.
I ordered another one from another retailer to compare but the placement is the same.
I agree with others that everyone is free to send the products back (and I'm sure they'll sell again in no time) , but I understand it can be disappointing since its probably the last release for this one, and everyone and his grand mother wanted one
Seeing the various product pictures put by @samo it looks a bit more like symmetric placement is maybe not always what is optimal for when one will wear it (But I don't have this on the recent 13.5 oz dobby cloth CPO)
I looked again at all the picture from this thread, and imo this batch has maybe this thing a bit more accentuated. Enough pictures to see it.
But honestly, when wearing it and moving around a bit in front of the mirror, it's more difficult to see, and I think I do now because I have noticed it
Especially with some layers, fabric is moving and the closed button line tends to move a lot, making this "asymmetry" practically invisible.
So could very well be that the placement is done to account for how the fabric will move/mold onto the body.
It's everyone choice to keep it or not ! Still debating but I'll probably keep it.
Pictures if I do
@weftyarn Your smile says enough
Fit looks very nice.
So jealous, mine will only arrive Monday.
Also got mine at IHG
My first denim shirt
@Jord #team_first_denim_CPO, and for me even first denim shirt

The ones I looked up were the "vintage" ones where it's stated its "12oz red line selvedge denim".
For the "Blue tab" ones (priced 250$) nothing is mentioned at all, which is probably like you say because its not that noteworthy, to say the least
405$ for a trucker jacket with non provided denim weight, provenance, or nice details, except the global "made in Japan" !
Please M. Levi, make some room for the real deal
Didn't know Levi was in the high-end Japanese denim.
Looking at their offer, I fail to understand the appeal for 12oz denim priced at 295$...
Monopolizing the mills for that is a scandal
@goosehd yeah I agree and it's certainly a good thought.
To be perfectly frank, I know this myself for having experienced it with at least one shirt (I mean the only temporary, post-wash fibres tightening).
I only had it "for real" with my brown slubby from last winter, but very little.
So yeah I also take all infos with a grain of salt, but for me those insights are cool since I'm in Europe and like to avoid the restocking fee. Honestly otherwise I wouldn't even bother asking this, and simply order 2 sizes each time
Nice thing here is that with denim you can almost always stretch back some when it's damp.
@Alex hey Alex, thx for the answer
Off course I have checked the fabric on the product page, but in my limited experience, some product still do shrink, even at 30°
But ok I don't remember forum members even mentioning this for this one.
Thx !
L measurements looks great although a bit long
Does someone remember from the thread what the shrinking was if any ? Don't remember it being a thing in any case.
