It worked!! They didn’t shrink that much on the waist and they fit perfectly.

Now, pray so that I don’t have to go to the restroom at the office (buttons are still a b!tch).

Alright, received my pair today. Since the waist is already on the “iffy” side, decided to do the initial soak wearing them.

Feel super dumb.

I received my size 40 pair yesterday. I had the hemmed to 33.5 “
This time I didn’t want to deal with cleaning my bathtub so I just put them in the washer inside out, no spin and with the hottest water temperature setting and just hang dry afterwards.

Here are the results in inches.

New:
Waist 40
Thigh 14
Knee 9.5
Leg opening 9
Length 33.5

After hot wash
Waist 39
Thigh 13.5
Knee 9
Leg opening 8.5
Length 33

So, pretty consistent results of exactly one inch reduction in all areas.

Just received my pair and the color is amazing.

Received this pair today. They are way better than expected; the color is great.

I will give them the initial hot soak to get all the shrinkage out of the way and have them hemmed next week.

This is how they fit pre-soak (some how I lost my butt ).

@Slash They will fit perfectly after you soak for at least an hour in super hot water, and/or a machine wash, hottest setting, inside out, no spin, hang dry.

Get the 34.

If the pair you get has exactly the advertised measurements, then after you do the initial hot soak, they will be: (assuming the new batch has the same measurements as the current one)

Waist: 34.3”
Thigh: 12.6”
Knee: 8.0”

@mikemakuch71 It’s not that hard. After your initial hot soak or wash, your jeans will shrink 1 inch at the waist and thigh circumference. And 1.5 inches in the length.

So, if you want your inseam to be 32, just have them hemmed at 33.5.

@Oaktavia May I ask, how many wears and washes on the XHSib? and after the initial soak, how long for the first wash/soak?

@Alex I read on the other forum that the 555s are “arriving this week”. Are the 777s in the same shipment/order/lot/whatever?

Just so I’m not refreshing my browser every hour, are we closer as in days, weeks, etc. ?

1. With 25oz you MUST soak them first. After that, go nuts not washing them.

2. The hot soak will shrink everything by 1 inch. Maybe the waist will stretch back 1 inch, but the rest of the measurements won’t.

E.g. if measurements say:

Waist: 33
Leg: 11
Knee: 8.5
etc.

The measurements after soaking will be:

32
10.5
8
etc.

Use this information to find the size that will be close to your ideal measurements after soaking.
