I took these pics of a leather cap a couple years back and forgot to post them here. It was hand made by one of the ranch hands out of the leayher from a small “lagarto” (Caiman yacare).
I thought it looked very cool, although it was a bit stiff. Needed significant breaking in before being comfortable.
The journey is the objective.

Bought a barbour cascade because mine had served me well for a few years. Only to find out the new one is worse quality compared to the one I bought a few years back. Stitching looks less sturdy, overall material is less sturdy and the brim is thinner than on my older one ( which has been faded in the sun and has some damage already ).
I then decided to try out Poten. Got a black vintage duck poten cap and am happy with it. Just had to bend the brim a bit. It's just tad bit on the smaller side but works. Great build quality for a cap. -
Absolute long shot here but I saw a post in passing (cannot remember where) of what looked like a snap back hat with a very cool looking iron heart vintage patch on the front, wondering if they ever come up on the secondhand market..or if they have ever been restocked

@Northman I have been looking at Poten recently. Their duck ones look great.

@will6er I like mine, but it runs small. I ordered a denim cap directly from FullCount in Japan and I love it. it fits my head better and has a larger brim. I was surprised they covered my duties/taxes to Europe + had free shipping from Japan of all places.

@Oaktavia in my opinion perfect placement would be the bottom of the IH patch in dead alignment with the centerline of the carhart patch if that makes sense.

Creek Angler’s Device x Blue in Green
I like the Quiet Mountain Cafe, Creek Angler’s collabs BiG has done but this one I love. It is a simple cap with a washed finish but it is decidedly 90’s and makes me pine for a simpler time. -
@Oaktavia If it were mine I would remove the carhartt tag and lower the patch about 1/4".
Not sure if the carhartt tag is just stitched on or glued and stitched. If its glued, just leave it because you won't be able to remove that glue. Stick a needle or awl or something small and sharp underneath and try and wiggle it around and see if there is glue holding it on. If not, I'd seam rip it and take it off to reduce visual noise.
