I have been very happy with my purchase even though I originally wanted the OD.

Might get a better idea under natural light. But you might see the indigo fade a bit here.

Reporting back after having these for about 2 weeks.
I was stressed because they were my first pair of IH jeans. Never had anything this heavy + never had anything with tag size 40 before.
After the initial soak and wash--> perfect fit and they just keep getting better the more I wear them. I absolutely love them more than any other jeans I own.
Measurements were quite close to that of my 38 Freenote Portolas and I can confirm that It was the right thing to do to trust the measurements rather than the tag size alone.
They are a little roomier but not baggy by any means.

One hell of pair of jeans!

DHL Express delivers. It was not love straight out of the box, but just like the Townes I washed it and now I like it a lot. Also roomier than I thought (just like the Townes) and the pockets are too good.

Had to pay a visit to the local retailer just to dial in the fit for this one and ended up leaving with XXXL. After all it fit me much better than SP-Large. Finally.

After careful consideration I will sit this one out. Too many nice things this autumn already. Giving someone a fighting chance for 2xl. Remember guys. shoppay!

Love the shirt. Might try as well.
One thing though is the length on these. I just don't get it. 2XLs are longer than IH SP-Large cpos.
I rock my sashiko townes just fine but man these are always loooong. I am a tall fella 190cm thats maybe 6'2 or 6'3 almost idk.
Perfect shirt length I have is a freenote XXL western which is 29.50.
Anyway enough about that, maybe it will shrink a bit and who cares anyway I guess.

@AdamJ Was it this one or a lefty or some other type 3 you had on in the Hamburg release party photos? Was always wondering which one it was.

@Danimal506 Yeah ok bending the bill yeah I might do that. Poten, dehen etc are usually way too small for my head. Stetson works well. No experience with SJ.

Well I bought the camo hat. Not really sure if its my thing because I usually wear the dad cap style. Does anyone have experience with bending the bill a bit to your liking?
I don't have a small head but I hope it's not huge. Luckily the crown on these I guess isn't as tall as the sashiko. Would not make sense to shrink a waxed hat anyway.

Will have to jump on this even though I already have the non-fade version. Something is telling me that if I don't I will regret it later.

For EU customers Pinkomo still has 3xl and 4xl available. I think I read someone in the states try to purchase but didnt work. Bummer not sure why. Anyway I thought it was interesting that those sizes are still hanging around.

Japan only black denim townes. I do like how the brass snaps pop on black denim.

When they announced the denim wills preorder I was ready and refreshing the product page with my face glued on my iPhone (with good internet). Payment info saved on shop pay. I think that's the best chance one can get.

I think though with the sashiko ori townes, ramblin and the denim wills next jan I am all ship johned up. They are awesome, different to IH and bring variety to my wardrobe along with the odd freenote cloth.

Altho the talk about a black denim townes is intriguing.
