I have been very happy with my purchase even though I originally wanted the OD.

Might get a better idea under natural light. But you might see the indigo fade a bit here.

Reporting back after having these for about 2 weeks.
I was stressed because they were my first pair of IH jeans. Never had anything this heavy + never had anything with tag size 40 before.
After the initial soak and wash--> perfect fit and they just keep getting better the more I wear them. I absolutely love them more than any other jeans I own.
Measurements were quite close to that of my 38 Freenote Portolas and I can confirm that It was the right thing to do to trust the measurements rather than the tag size alone.
They are a little roomier but not baggy by any means.

One hell of pair of jeans!

Had to pay a visit to the local retailer just to dial in the fit for this one and ended up leaving with XXXL. After all it fit me much better than SP-Large. Finally.

Went ahead and got XXXL. First I thought that I might have been better off with SP-Large but after almost 2 weeks of non-stop wear It has stopped squeaking and maybe stretched a centimeter or two in some places. Will try to get as much wear before it gets too cold here because this is definitely a ''Wear with a t-shirt'' jacket for me.
Now very happy with my purchase and It's already a favorite after the initial quite brutal break in period.
Happy owner of two IH type 3s now, this and a SP-Large Superblack ( Both serve a purpose ).

@SourPower After getting my black double monks I am hooked. They are really comfy now after almost a month as well. Initial break in was brutal tho.

I do also like the look of these. I wonder if these are a exclusive to Ironshopprovisions because I can't see this leather option being offered on zerrows own website?

For my wallets sake it's nice that the size 11 is sold out.

Some Derrolls in D Width in stock. I preordered 11s in E width in march so I guess mine will take a lot longer.

Scored a second hand one for my better half last year. Nice fades. It's her favorite shirt to lounge in and makes a great maternity shirt for feeding because of the snap open/closure while being soft and relaxed.

If IHSH-397-IND gets rerun I am so getting it.
Actually... I dunno if it's a bit mad after only having the shirt for a few days, but I am pretty sure I would buy this one again aswell. I can see myself wearing this a lot.

The out of the box experience is a bit underwhelming with sashiko fabric sometimes, but (repeating myself) man does it come alive after a wash and few wears.

Whatever it is I am sure it will be good.

Received my 2XL indigo. Was big as well. Inside out 40celsius wash and tumble dryer. Perfect afterwards. It has still got some length to it so I understand people considering a tailor. For me it has the length of my SP-Large CPOs so I will just rock it as is. Maybe some future washes will have a positive effect on it too. Very happy!

The shirt really "comes alive" after a wash.

@Denimhead-0 Mine should arrive soon too. I am actually glad if it is roomy so I can then put it in the hot wash aswell and not worry about shrinking it too much.
