@RobeOfTheMagi it is very coarse at the start, not flexible at all - but I guess that is all part of the fun eh?

My 816DD that I inherited from Filthy Mike are one of the best pairs of pants I’ve ever had. The double-duck isn’t for the faint of heart, but the rewards are tangible and exciting.

Nice. I have the 816DD, that was a super rare score a while back.
But ever since I relayed the Type3 to @Oaktavia I secretly was on the hunt for one!

Now I'm only lacking the black duck Type3. And a raglan shirt. I'll see myself out to the 'What should we make' thread.

                              Possibly/probably...

The OG's were called the IH-816DD. 816 for the cut, DD for the double indigo duck.

I based the cut on these:

                              https://forum.ironheart.co.uk/topic/2226/ih-816-17oz-duck-work-pants?_=1777550674597

IHUK did a load of 816 models in whipcord, then out of the blue, one day, H released the 735 in whipcord, why the rename*? Who knows. But the 735 is essentially the 816.

Edit * Probably because if we came up with an idea, Haraki very rarely took it because our ideas were our ideas and felt he should give us exclusivity to them. Over the years he has realised we don't give a jot about him selling "our" stuff, but he still always asks permission. Perhaps he thought we would not notice that he copied our idea by giving it a different number. But actually, all it did at the time was confuse people. 🙂

I think the issue is our lack of ability to weave black duck. By that I mean, Haraki for some unknown reason, does not want to do it....

Although I love my black duck bibs it is frustrating how easily they pick up every piece of lint, dust, dirt, pet hair etc throughout the day. I would not own more than one item in that material personally. That said I could see myself being buried in those bins.

Also… 816 FTW!!!!!! These are an easy decision for me.

735 has been cut slimmer in the thigh than the 816. I can’t wear the new ones. I should qualify that to say the ancient beige and navy ones I had were bigger. Looking at the charts for the black ones and whipcord ones the thigh is skinnier.
