Yeah, I think of them as approach shoes, and that is how they were positioned originally. But when I went onto the Scarpa website earlier, they were being described as urban sneakers....Same shit, dubious positioning (but probably sell more as a result)......

I picked up these DannerxProof N45’s last week.

A nice blurred line between a sneaker and hiking boot.
They really want you to know they are recraftable. There’s a sticker on the box and a stamp inside the shoe.

@SKT extremely comfortable right away. They have more cushioning than I used to in shoes and quite a bit of padding around the heel and sides of the foot.

The one downside is they aren’t waterproof. So real hiking in wet conditions could be problematic.

I was also told the Lucas were not repairable but I’m trying anyway with Shoe Goo.

Altra Lone Peak

Absolutely top-notch light hiking/trail running shoes—at least for me. I tried them out today and am very impressed. Super lightweight, snug around the ankle but wide in the forefoot. No drop, so they roll smoothly. I really like them.

Anyone familiar with Superga sneakers? I was looking into the 2750 COTU Classic especially. Any thoughts on sizing and/or general quality/comfort of these?

anyone knows a brand that makes sneakers from roughout cxl or horsehide? I am browsing for something like that for the last couple days but did not find anything. Only suede of course but want something that ages nice and works for the colder weather. Preferebly high top
