I was new to the Japanese selvedge game and the realisation that I've been doing denim wrong all these years hit me hard enough to know that I only had the single choice; to dive deep into Iron Heart one piece at a time. And where else to start? Jeans. Because a journey has to start somewhere, and where better, right?

Santa Josh delivered the 777 as the perfect fit after I joined the team in October 2024. The fades are coming along extremely well too (for anyone thinking of asking; the fade on the left hand side pocket is usually home to a iPhone 16 Pro Max in my pocket - so no, I'm not pleased to see you - settle down).

Love these jeans. Currently also got 777 natural indigo for that more prolonged fading journey. Looking to make it a hattrick soon but perhaps trying something different?

My first IH piece was a pair of 666S-21L in March of 2019 and they have since moved on to another forum member after I outgrew them. Here I’m wearing my first shirt and second pair of jeans…33 and 777S-21

Wife got me these in 2024, 634 21oz(9 months of wear). The Pair that started my IH addiction. Had a pair of sugarcanes before these that got me back in selvedge denim after 4 yrs hiatus. Good to be back and all in on IH

It's really cool to see some of the OG pieces in this thread. I'm a newbie but like @68degreesorless, my first IH was 633 21oz from Self Edge. Amazing denim that's into the "sweatpants soft" phase for me. The day I went to buy the jeans, I lucked out that SE had this flannel (IHSH-411) in my size as well.

My first shirt was the IHSH-07 bought in 2009. Giles even tried to upsell me the matching pants .

First pair of IH were the 21oz 888s! I’ve got September 2020 written on the pocket. Here’s to another 5 they just keep getting better.

My first IH shirt was either the anniversary UHF or the Kersey Work Shirt. I can’t remember ‍

My first two pairs of Iron Heart were bought in rapid succession circa 2010, or so. Superblack 301 from Self Edge in SF, and a pair of pre-lawsuit 634s I snagged on eBay.

My very first Iron Heart item was a well loved pair of 555XHSib. Those got me hook, line and sinker. I grew out of that pair though and sold them. This started back in 2019.

My next peice and oldest one I have in my collection is one of my all time favorites, the IHJ-72. I bought this from a guy in Ireland on here (forget who), also in 2019. I was drinking IPAs by the gallon as a chaser for bourbon back then, so I was a little booze chunky. This caused me to sell it to another forum member who subsequently sold it to @Daniel-San. He had it for a few years before I asked him if he would kindly sell it back to me (after I lost about 30lbs). Daniel abliged and a deal was made. The IHJ-72 is back in my hands! I plan to thrash this one again this fall.
