@AdamC FWIW DHL and UPS have similar coverage where I live, so next day delivery is the norm. DHL‘s biggest advantage - they deliver on a Saturday. Recent delivery was the first using dhl, absolutely no issues

Is it a reasonable or realistic idea to try to remove a blanket and quilt liner from an IH jacket (specifically the 534 I have)?

So I can layer with it and wear it for more months out of the year. I'm not dead set on doing so, just had the thought a few times.

I would take it into a decent seamstress/tailor and ask them. Anything is doable, just depends on skillset and cost.

@jordanscollected Oh really? Nice, I must have missed that. The lining in the 534 is excellent and comfortable, I just think I would also like it if it were unlined. I'll mull it over a bit more. It is really nice to put it on after a shower in the winter.

@Oaktavia Even if you can’t remove the lining in one piece,if you sew it back together,then you can have the best of both worlds.

@Oaktavia would be a shame to remove it, IMO. But your call, or course. It will change the fit of the jacket and maybe in unexpected ways. So bear that in mind.

I don't think I can bring myself to actually do it. It's just too perfect already. It would be like removing the wooden stretcher frame from an artist's painting on a canvas.

I'll ask here as I saw this on another thread, what's the reason for moving away from the UHR line? Just moving towards more sanforized/washed items? Or are mills not producing the fabric anymore?
