Just ordered a pair in a 31. I’ve come to the realization that I’m simply not a 30 in the 888 haha
-
@drewfonse I’ve been going up one size on the 888 as well. Body hasn’t changed, I just don’t want to mess with stretching waistbands.

Just ordered a pair… sized up to a 35, now I just have to wait until next year to get into them

-
I sized up on these as well and find the fit much better. Now I just have to wear and enjoy them

-
Yeah haha it’s an expensive transition for me but I need comfort.

May I ask, what is difference is the “natural” indigo? My only pair of IH denim right now is 14oz indigo, so would there be much difference?
-
@gneicher Most of our denim (including your 14oz jeans) is dyed using indigo pigment that has been synthetically produced, as it offers the highest level of purity and colour consistency. However, on some occasions, such as with these jeans, we use a naturally derived indigo — a traditional method using dye pigment from the leaves of the Indigofera plant.
Technically, the chemical makeup of the pigment is identical, but because the synthetic version is purer, it requires the yarns to be dyed fewer (8-10) times. In comparison, natural indigo yarns are usually dipped around 30 times to ensure the same colour consistency. These extra layers of dye mean that the natural indigo denim appears as a slightly deeper shade of indigo and can often be worn for a longer amount of time before it starts to show signs fading. Hope that helps!

Great info, thanks. Would you mind clarifying a question about the use of organic cotton in these, is the whole pair organic cotton or is it just the warp or weft?
Either way is great, looking forward to having my pair delivered today!
-
@drewfonse Yes, this denim is 100% organic cotton (both warp and weft). Enjoy!

Ps. I've updated the product details on the site to make this clearer in the future, thanks for pointing it out.

Awesome, thanks!
