IHSH-33-BLK - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Black

@Gavin666 I can't tell what you're talking about from that photo.
-
He’s referring to the right pocket being further from the placket.
This is normal for Western/CPO shirts
-
@FlavourFade 33B looks very cool with the pearl snap upgrade!!

@Damocles that’s what I ordered but on the 33-T. I think they’ll pop nicely on both!
I thought about that for my 33-T also, but what drew me to it is the stealth look, so in the end I went with the default black. Keen to see your 33-T with the pearl snaps to know what I missed out on
-
@tenuin it’s supposed to get here tomorrow so we’ll see!
-
@northsouthdenimguy ok thanks for the clarification. I can see that clearly from the photo @FlavourFade posted.
-
If only we had the dark MOP heavyweight snap. I’d even send my 33-blk black back for it

Been wearing this since release and spot on fit etc but just noticed this and now can’t unsee it! Reminds me of the pic of the 18oz CPO and looking at stock pics of the denim restocks they are all off. Not sure why. Not overly fussed but not what I would expect do a near £300 shirtyou sent on a downwards spiral with this today. I checked most of my shirts and your observation seems "normal" that the right pocked is further from the placket than the left, for all but one of the shirts I checked this is the case. No idea why this is but it seems intentional
Indigofera Copeland, 4.3 v 3.8

Johnny Cash 3.4 v 2.8

IHSH-33-T 3.5 v 2.5

UES Flannel 3 v2.5

SoSo custom is the closest of the bunch, 3.5-ish both sides

Indigofera Flannel 6 v 5.5

IHSH-189-BRN 2.3 v 3

I will say though that for the 33, it is by far the most noticeable and the greatest difference at 1 cm.

@tenuin weird eh. On my IHSH33 run before this and my CPO OD they are as close to spot on as can be and unnoticeable to the eye. The CPO is identical on both sides as is my RRL and UES shirt . Just checked my RGT western and it’s 1/2 inch out - never noticed until you said

-
@tenuin are these on new runs of shirts or old ones? My IHSH-33OD from the last run does not have this pocket spacing issue.
-
@jpvisual this Johnny Cash and 33 are from the current run. I have an older Johnny Cash from the run before that (I want to say mid 2024) that doest fit anymore and that one also doesn't have this issue.
Seems like some variation is normal, but it is starting to bother me how big it is on the 33. Once you see it, you can't unsee it..

Lovely fabric this one! Upgraded to the pearl snaps and love how they POP. Also interesting how the color almost appears a dusty brown in the right light, perhaps from the stitching thread color. -
@fuzzybunnies nice man. Upgraded snaps definitely look killer!
-
I found this explanation…
“What you’re seeing is normal patterning, not a defect. On Westerns and CPOs the pockets are placed relative to the armhole or side seam, not the center placket. That’s why the distance from each pocket to the armpit stitching is the same on both sides and consistent from shirt to shirt.
The center placket isn’t a true reference point due to the fold, layering, and snap spacing, so one pocket can appear farther from center. A vertical stripe down the middle just makes this more noticeable. In short, the pocket placement is consistent even if it doesn’t look perfectly centered.”

Did a cold soak which tightened it up a bit. Still a little long on me, I may just hot soak the bottom half but either way really like this version
