I've gone and started a menswear channel on YT. Since I'm probably going to be making a lot of Iron Heart content, I started with a guide of stuff learnt thus far. Also did a a quick Sexcpood review. Hope it's okay to post here.

New Year's eve was spent watching the Stranger Things conclusion with my family, in my new 33-T. Probably needs a steam.

Starting 2026 in my Iron Heart Sweat suit. Ridiculously comfortable!

As discussed, I washed and dried the Towns last night along with my 21oz modified type 3. Really wanted those sleeves to shrink but I’ll save that for an other thread.

Started by turning the Towns inside out and soaking it in hot water for 2-3 minutes. The water turned yellow. Then transferred it to the washing machine where I ran it for for 38 minutes no spin and second down from the absolute hottest setting.
Once that finished I transferred to the dryer and put it on high (one down from the hottest “sanitize” setting for 20 minutes.

Then took it out and measured. It was still wet so I hung it up.
Fast forward to now, it’s still a bit damp so I moved it outside and hung it on my birch. Not sure if the measurements will get much different once it’s completely dry? But noticed quite a bit of shrinkage where I wanted it the most.

I’ll update you guys with numbers once it’s totally dry. All in all, happy I did this so far. I should have done this long ago with my type 3 too!

@goosehd gotcha, not sure what to do now . Initially I was just going to wear the crap out of it and then wash but it doesn’t look like it’ll shrink that much with this batch anyways.

@goosehd did you get your Towns from the original batch? On the webpage from this batch it says this:

Shoulders are perfect but sleeves and length could get shorter for sure.

It’s here. Very thic. Similar to Tricotine in the weight and fit but very different texture.

Hand spun brass buttons are nice.

Definitely longer than I’m used to but I don’t dislike that. Going to wear a bunch before washing. Really cool shacket. Definitely a shacket!
