Trying to decide if I should keep this one and if the fit is good. I think the length and torso width I'm not used to vs the standard western. What do you guys think about the fit?

4 days of wear and these have stretched back to post soak/wash measurements. I definitely have a long way to go with these. I really dig this fabric. My favorite pair of IH jeans to date. I personally don't find it uncomfortable at all, even new. It's a bummer these UHR will not be made anymore. I hope IH introduces a raw shrink to fit back in the lineup in the future. Amazing jeans!

Back from repair and still going strong. I bought these 1 size too big. I've learned to size down 1 inch in the waist from where you want them to end up. These have also loosened up a lot in the thighs to the knee (even though people say they don't change). My own body measurements thighs etc haven't changed a bit. Maybe just the 21oz. My 21oz sbgs also loosened up a ton. These are super soft and very comfortable now. Great summer jeans! Still going to wear these a lot.

PS @worn2fade I soaked two 526Ls both within the the recommended IH temp (30-40C) 1hr, then into the machine for a gentle wash on cold no spin. Both jackets .5 inches off the shoulders, 1 inch off the length sleeves/body. Chest shrinkage was minimal.

I'm finally getting my IH shirt fit down with a couple of hard misses and some special help from the IH crew. Sold those off and picked up this one and really dig the fit! It's ever so slightly snug in the chest and shoulders, but not restrictive or uncomfortable. Shoulders are the constant issue that I found I need to get dialed in with these shirts as they seem to run narrow. It's the perfect weight to wear under my type iii jacket. Glad I was able to find measurements on the 33 that worked because I was told no more from that line coming in 2025.

@Tobi I think the jacket looks perfect. It depends on what you like though. I personally like my trucker jackets to fit slim and hit at the waist or close to. I also don't like to wear bulky clothing underneath. If I want to layer, I layer a parka over the trucker. That's just what I prefer. This one runs pretty long in the torso, even longer than the other modified type iii's I've noticed. I was just in a similar situation with these jackets. I decided to size down because the body length was just too much. I was concerned with sleeve length as well because they hit right at the wrist and I think that's perfect, but was concerned about the creasing and it riding up. The IH crew assured me the sleeves would not come up much at all especially when the jacket wears in. The bit of natural stretching/relaxing offsets the creasing in the sleeves. Time will tell. I really like how mine is fitting now.

First pair of 21oz 888s and they're fantastic! I tried getting into the 777s and 666s, but they were incredibly tight on my legs. This cut feels much better. I had concerns that these would be too tight as well, but after a couple hours they have loosened up already and are very comfortable. Thanks again @Alex for the last minute fit advice!

A type iii in 18oz vintage fabric would be cool.

634 is probably the closest thing. I've mentioned before that I'd still like to see a slim fit bootcut from Iron Heart similar to the classic Levis 517.

Been wearing these for about a month straight now, everyday. It's my first pair of the 666 cut. I also have 888s, 633 and have tried 634. Those are all fine, but I like the look of the 666 the best. I went in knowing these were a little too big in the waist. The thighs are about as slim as I could go. Maybe I could go a little .1 inches slimmer in the upper thighs, but that's it. I could go down in the waist .5 - .6 inches. That said they're comfortable with a belt. I have mixed opinions on how they look. What do you guys think? Keep going or get rid of them?

@JoshC an M51 or M65 is great with a removable liner because you get the option to wear it with a trucker jacket or thick CPO without the need to size up. Or you can put the liner back in if not. I like that I can do this with my M65, but it's not an Iron Heart Jacket and it's nowhere near Iron Heart quality.

Will this jacket be made again? I really like the M51 (and M65) with a removable liner. Such a great classic jacket.

@Tyler any duck chore coat would be great. Doesn't need to be the thickest most burly hard to make fabric even made. Black or dark olive green would be awesome. Thanks for listening.

@Jord thanks! Yeah the Wabash is really something else. I had wanted to get the standard wabash western, but the measurements didn't work for me. I think this one is going to be a go to for it's versatility. Super comfortable too.
