    • RE: IH-888S-21 - 21oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo

First pair of 21oz 888s and they're fantastic! I tried getting into the 777s and 666s, but they were incredibly tight on my legs. This cut feels much better. I had concerns that these would be too tight as well, but after a couple hours they have loosened up already and are very comfortable. Thanks again @Alex for the last minute fit advice!

A type iii in 18oz vintage fabric would be cool.

@Graham thanks! I picked them up at Self Edge, SF. Easily the best damn jeans I've ever had. Thanks @RobeOfTheMagi 🤘 D972F71D-3F60-4F4D-9583-7C0585AC4FC8.png

    • RE: IH-526Lod - 19oz Left-Hand Twill Selvedge Denim Type III - Indigo Overdyed Black

@T4920 thanks for posting this photo! Your jacket looks great! I really dig that 19oz left hand twill fabric. I would have to say after some good wear this jacket certainly looks more blue. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm wanting a straight up black denim jacket. I would say if Iron Heart makes a straight up black (no OD) type 3 in 19oz left hand twill, that would be the black denim jacket to rule them all.

@goosehd thanks and good to know! I'm just trying to get some opinions on the the 526-PJ vs the 526L from those who own both, what they prefer and why.

@Luijim78 thanks. Yeah pretty much decided on that. I plan to live in that one for a year before I get a second. We'll see how that goes 😂

@Graham do you post shrink test results on each size before the next batch is released? I think this could help take a lot of the guess work out of it. Thanks

Why do you guys make your stuff so narrow in the shoulders?

    • RE: Tailoring

@catdad1 yeah exactly what I might do. IH advised against it, but I'd rather have something that fits well. I don't care at all about perfect stitching. There is a denim tailor in my area that is really good.

Most shirts (not just IH) are designed to fit big in the middle, narrow up top or just narrow or big all the way through. Athletic cuts are difficult to come by in this market so a tailor is really the best option.

    • RE: Tailoring

Does anyone tailor their Iron Heart shirts or is that not advisable? After trying several IH shirts, they all seem to narrow in the chest and shoulders at a size that looks good on me. When sizing up to fit my chest/shoulders the sleeves and body are too long.

@Goz I had the same question. @Giles mentioned the once soaked the indigo version should be the same or close to the OD measurements. So just look at the OD measurements when they are released and get the one that matches your best fitting jacket, especially if you have a type 3 or similar. I actually don't understand why some say it runs small. The measurements from the old versions compare in size to other IH type 3s. The Lefty jackets seem to look more slim fitting, so maybe that's what people are talking about. I personally like that.

These guys are from my home town along with Sleep and High on Fire. They put out one album. I used to go see them all the time. Nice guys. There was a pretty good scene from mid 90's to early 2000's.
