Gomorrha is absolute cinema. Early seasons especially. The type of show where no character is 'safe' from being killed off. If you watch this, make sure to watch The Immortal (inbetween seasons 4 and 5).

Have been considering re-watching this. However, I'm also due a Sopranos rewatch (which is basically a yearly thing).

Designed to be that way, and definitely an acquired taste. Like Ozark and Bloodline. Just levels of intensifying unease with everyone being a baddie.

Me and my wife enjoyed it. Def a lot of heavy sad stuff for Jason batemens character. some lag set up episodes around 4-5 but it picks up and all ties in at the end. Why the brothers how they are etc? don’t wanna give away too much risk a spoiler. But would recommend finishing it for sure.

Been really enjoying HBOs new show Task, (cops, motorcycle gang, stick up dudes in rural PA) stoked for the new episode tonight!

Been watching “Detroiters” on Netflix. Really funny. Probably the most coherent Tim Robinson joint I’ve ever seen. Sam Robinson is excellent in the show as well.

@flannel-slut I was about halfway through when I wrote that, and it kinda sputtered out from there. Personally, I wouldn’t bother watching it a second time through (which is usually a sign of how I feel).

Season 2 remains the high water mark by a long shot….

@Giles We waited until they were 5 episodes in and slowly started catching up. It’s been 2 years and at first we had no idea as to what was going on. Ended up watching some YouTube videos to get reminded of all the plot scenarios. Last episode is coming up this Wednesday.
