IHM-48-KHA - 12oz Whipcord Lightweight N1 Deck Jacket - Khaki
-
Hello, everyone!
I'm really interested in this jacket. In your opinion, I have a waist size of 115 cm and a chest size of the same (with a T-shirt and sweatshirt on as well).
Should I go for XL, in your opinion?
For comparison, I have a size 42 N1 from McCoy that fits me well

Thanks in advance for your feedback and help

Cya from Belgium !

Measure your McCoy the way we measure, then compare the measurements,(which we publish on every product page) There is no other way of being sure.

Got an XL which is the same size I wear in the regular N1. Sizing should workout.
-
Anddddd got one! Requested longer than size chart sleeves, will see where i got in the measurement request queue but stoked either way!
-
Just placed an order for medium and asked for wider shoulders, hopefully the sizing will work out!
-
Ordered! Asked for longest body and longest sleeves with guidance on ideally what I’m looking for. Thanks in advance!!!
STOKED!!!

@Brandrea congratulations. I love the jacket, but unfortunately the sleeve length wouldn’t work for me. Very envious!
-
@IrishHeart Fingers are crossed that it works for me. Seeing it on some of the staff here gave me some confidence it will!
-
Still have a few XL’s available here - https://brooklynclothing.com/collections/new-arrivals/products/ihm-48-kha-12oz-whipcord-lightweight-n1-deck-jacket-khaki?variant=42663488487491

Just a clarification. For washing it says gentle 40 degrees … but the lining is in ventile … I thought this was dry cleaning only ? Ventile and washing machine doesn’t work I think. Thank you.
Yes it does. Ventile is just cotton, it will not screw it up, but over time may reduce its waterproofness.
Ventile was developed to allow pilots who had to bail into the north Atlantic, to last a little longer. I don't suppose the convoy ships had a dry cleaning service on offer...

Nikwax Tech Wash or pure soap (ensure there is no residue of detergent in your washing machine)

If I understand correctly, this pertains to the UK originated, currently Swiss/Austrian ( Stotz & Co. AG)made Ventile version. Various treatments are applied to Ventile it depends on the manufacturer. The Japanese versions of ventile may be different but it’s harder to research. -
I just saw the email for this release and was able to track one down on Rivet & Hide (my favorite IH retailer) in size Large! At first, the sleeves appear a tad short but everything else is spot on with my Iron Heart A1 from last fall so I think I am good to go...very excited!

Up until a couple of years ago, most Royal Navy ships had a “Chinese laundry” I can’t remember serving on one that had a dry cleaning service… and our “ boats” didn’t have a laundry as such
I believe the laundry service is now Nepalese… still no dry cleaning 🫡

I feel sad for my other jackets this winter. Damn this jacket is good. You guys killed it

@northsouthdenimguy I see you popped the collar. Does it sit flat well, couldn't tell on some of the other photos.
