We know you love IH, but where do you think we can improve?

@Alex I understand why the leg length is unlikely to change as it would bump up the cost for the few tall people that like to double cuff and the sleeves is awaits for and against but cannot understand why the pocket bags won’t get reinforced? It must be hands down the biggest complaint by wearers by a million miles? Especially as an IH saying is over engineered and compared to say Freenote or Schaeffers the pocket bags are the only thing that aren’t and let the jeans down.

It is, but...

I would love to see the pocket bags on IH jeans ultra reinforced. I get constant tears on all my IH jeans' pocket bags.
I totally agree and have suggested this improvement previously.

So have we. For some inexplicable reason, it gets no traction.....

@sabergirl good point but I don’t have time to read everything. Also, surely the more that says something the more weight it is likely to carry etc

Or we just find it irritating……..

From reading the thread responses here on this and many other suggestions where Haraki-san has strong ideas and opinions, I'm not sure that's the way it works when doing business with the Japanese.

For what it’s worth… I don’t have issues with my pockets

@pechelman @Alex I’ve often thought I rather preferred the old sizing chart format too. A lot easier to read it was.

we will go back to how it should be from now

@Oaktavia I find myself doing the same. The 888 pockets are pretty hard to access anyway since their opening barely even fits my hands and they’re higher up in the hip bends. Western style thumb holders. I don’t think I’d have them different tho, or they’d look weird.
-
@Oaktavia I utilize the reinforced belt loops to hook my pocket stabbers(keys) to.
Haraki read my mind long before I knew about Iron Heart -
I have theorised (and written this many times), that the smaller/lighter front pocket bags are a Haraki-san design choice. As with the tighter, longer sleeves, on shirts and jackets that cut down on the negative effects of wind, it’s a biker thing.
Having lots of stuff in your front pockets is uncomfortable and impractical while riding. This is also the reason why back pockets are re-enforced and widely placed. You can carry stuff in them while sat on a bike.
If you look further and consider the emphasis on vests and strapped bags, this supports the point, and suggests a logical design architecture. Haraki-san makes things he would wear, that function well for riders. Bags and vests are way better storage than front pockets in this respect.
On an unrelated, and entirely personal note, putting stuff in the front pockets of jeans ruins the fit of the top block, and makes them look shit.

@pechelman wise words.

Yeah phone fades or whatever else in the front pocket are the reason I never keep anything in my front pockets, never thought the bags were too shallow but maybe because only my hands go in there. With the goal being making clothes specifically to function well when on a bike, it would be pretty silly to make a bunch of changes for those who aren't riding a bike. I mean I don't have a motorbike (I do day dream though) but I can appreciate that the clothes aren't designed with my specific needs in mind, nor should they be as my needs are different than everyone elses
