        In inches.

The 526Lod I tried in XL:

        Shoulder: 18.750
        Chest P2P: 22.250
        Body Length: 26.250
        Sleeve Length: 26.250
        Waist: 19.750
        Hem opening: 20

        The 526L in an XL I tried, after 2 soaks, each for 1hr @ 30C, then 40C.

        Shoulder: 19.625
        Chest: 23
        Body Length: 27.125
        Sleeve length: 26.5
        Waist: 20.875
        Hem opening: 21.125

Both Jackets are from this most recent batch.

After doing this I would personally say, get the measurements that are closest to your best fitting jacket. It shouldn't be way over. Maybe that is widely known information, but I didn't know that. I assumed if both were from the same batch go with the same size. Measurements clearly matter more. I'm sure results may be widely different so take what I say with a huge grain of salt.

Got my XL (42) 526L yesterday and did a one hour hot soak in the tub and drip dry. I tried the jacket on and off throughout the drying process to help shape it out.

          Pre-soak measurements:

          P2P: 22.75”
          Shoulder: 19.5”
          Body Length: 27.75”
          Waist: 21”
          Opening: 21.5”
          Sleeve: 27”
          Cuff: 4.75”

          Post hot soak measurements (shrinkage):

          P2P: 22.5” (-0.25”)
          Shoulder: 19” (-0.5”)
          Body Length: 27” (-0.75”)
          Waist: 20.75” (-0.25”)
          Opening: 21” (-0.5”)
          Sleeve: 26.5” (-0.5”)
          Cuff: 4.5” (-0.25”)

I’m happy with the fit though this jacket seems to run long. It's very stiff so I'm planning to wear it and maybe hot soak it again down the road if I need to tighten it up further.

Still way too hot to wear this out where I am, but been enjoying wearing it around home the last two days, trying to start breaking it in. Curious how this jacket ends up feeling once it's fully broken in — I know it will eventually stop feeling like a suit of armor, but does it always remain a bit stiff, or does it inevitably become soft?

Got my XL, and I think it’s going to be way too small after a soak. Chest measures 22” and shoulders 19.5 straight across from the back. I need the chest at least 22.5” and a 19.5” shoulder. Might return it for a xxl.

Edit: kept it and soaked it while wearing it. Could literally feel the fabric tightening up lol. Fits me like a glove with some restriction, but I’ll be fine!

Post soak. Still a little damp, but mostly dried up. Fits me like a glove. Any more weight gain and won’t be able to wear it 😂

@MassiveThighs that's a nice fit. Looks a little short but a nice fit over a t. I have this jacket in an XXL that I've worn sparingly for about a year and washed once. It didn't shrink as much as I was expecting but I have read that it will shrink more over subsequent washes. I am still debating selling it and getting it in an XL for a fit like yours but then I run the risk of not layering.

I am an XXL in the 21oz type 3 and the 19oz LOD type 3 but this one just seems bigger.

I’m exactly the same. I love the research aspect of buying something new and spend hours doing so when I’m after something special. The forum is a goldmine for all things Iron Heart and such a rad place to go deep on new and rare items. So many experiences are documented here from the genesis of each shirt, jacket, jeans etc.

Of course, meeting new people and talking about iron heart with fellow fanatics (and a zillion other things) is what makes this place truly amazing.
