I am planning on purchasing one soon (I am way overdue on this one but the measurements here vs on the website seem to be very different. I have been told to size down on these since they run a bit big. For example, I own the 12oz Hickory IHSH-07, which I love, is a XXL and that fits spectacularly ....any insight would be appreciated

@Eza in general measurements in the IH shop are to be trusted. The ones in this thread could be from an older batch.

I would go for your usual size. Worst case, IH wabash tolerates a 90C wash very well and you will then shrink it at least one cm in all directions.

@neph93 ok cool I usually soak the sleeves in hot water and dry them to shrink up the length sleeves are way too long unless I walk around with my hands above my head at all times LOL

this will be my first IH shirt. will this shrink with every soak/wash? I plan to wear this mostly unbuttoned, over a shirt, like a jacket almost. So I'm not sure if I should go with my normal size L or size down to an M. Aware that the measurements chart is there but yeah, also worried the L could be too big.

@vince this is a killer first shirt man. It does shrink a bit the first couple washes. But nothing too much. Maybe 1/2 size in total with a cold wash and line dry.

In the easy chair with my boots on, melted whiskey in my hand. Could'na been asleep for more than three hours...time to go to work again...

@vince If you think the measurement would work with a medium i would go with that. You will get a little shrink but not much and it will stretch back out. also, the body length on these is pretty long so I bet you'll enjoy the length of the medium better.

I wear an xl in all Iron heart shirts, including this, but the 62 is only shirt I bet I could size down to a large in.

@vince Great choice indeed! If you have a shirt that fits similarly to what you are looking for with this one, go by the measurements 🙂
Shrinkage is almost negligible. But to second the others, this is one of the very shirts where I sized down from my regular XXL to XL and still have enough room.

                      Use it or lose it.

Same as above comments with sizing. Went with my same size for most other shirts, but had a little extra room (which I don't mind on my westerns).

I've also washed and tumble dried this shirt so many times without worry and it comes out great. The tail in the back curls up a bit (just from the way it's constructed) but other than that it has stayed pretty consistent. I just do the normal inside out, presoak, was cold, tumble dry low. Easy and is breaking in nicely!
