@Alex the point I failed to make. That 555 is slightly narrower at the bottom and still looks good imo

@mecken88 I wear a size 28 and wear engineer boots with every cut, from the least suitable 777 and 555 to the easier 666 and 634, the Mr Lou in particular have a very thin shaft and are easy to slide through, I have some difficulty with the rough-out leathers which create much more friction and are not easy to slide.

@CosmoSix5 i would be a size 34 in these. With a leg opening of 8,4” I think that should not be any problems with engineer boots.

@Ross the tag size 29 totally sold out in less than an hour? I wasn’t available for the release and checked about 15 mins later and it looked like the size 28 & 29 weren’t released yet - not showing sold out, but also not showing available. Checked again about 30 mins later and size 29 sold out. Is this accurate? Wanted to pick up a pair and seldom does this size sell out so quickly.

@John-Galt the last 29 sold before the restock, suggesting we had enough stock of the 29s when we placed the order that we did not order more as part of the restock

@Alex I’m assuming another year or more till the next restock and it appears IH Japan is also sold out of tag size 29?

@John-Galt yeah, thats likely the case, flip side of that would be that the last pair will have been there for a year or so too..

Japan did not restock on this run, so no 29s showing on the stocklist to order, sorry

@Alex yeah - I had inquired of the team a while back regarding the exact overall dimensions of that pair and they wouldn’t work for me due to at least one of the dimensions, so was hoping to get a pair to work from the restock. Fingers crossed that the next restock includes at least a couple pair of tag size 29 and that one of them works out. In the meantime, patience is supposedly bliss - but I tend to disagree. Yeah, considering we just brought a new baby home today and she's only had 2 hrs of sleep since Monday, I'd say she's fair and reasonable.  I got here about 10 minutes before the delivery guy.

Or is she cruel… she wouldn't let me see the jeans long enough to get them bottoned.  I only managed the top one to make sure they fit, the rest would have required time, beer, a wrench, and possibly a strong friend to manage.  Lucky for me I usually have all those things handy on xmas morning anyway.  I would imagine Giles cringes every time someone orders a hem on these, I wouldn't want to run them through a rare vintage sewing machine for fear of personal injury and mechanical catastrophe.

I know this one’s really old post (not for me, but I read this all post from the very first?), but we have a same spot. The difference is that I told my wife I got my pair by trading some of my niche perfumes that I bored of to my friend (really happened once)
