maybe not what you're looking for exactly, but would recommend taking the "musical pub crawl" tour. It's hosted by a couple of musicians that take you to a few pubs, enough time in each to have a pint, they play music in a private room/area of the pub, while also teaching you about the music. Was a great time and you should have enough time to get a feel for a few of them and also ask their personal opinion of other ones.

@deanclean Not technically a pub, but they do serve beer - a retro arcade named Token. Crazy place, I loved the pinball area: https://www.tokendublin.ie/

I also spent lots of time at the 'Beer Market' a Galway Bay outlet. Closed now, unfortunately. Next best thing could be https://galwaybaybrewery.com/againstthegrain/

And if you have the time, travel a little outside: https://wicklowwolf.com/taproom/
At least try to catch their beers, they're awesome.

@tody @pechelman @IrishHeart this is great stuff thank you. I had thought about one of the pub crawls but it will all depend on timing. We are in Dublin for 2 nights then Dingle for 3 nights. Love those ideas @tody that’s the stuff I wouldn’t normally see probably. I just love it over there. I’ve been maybe 6 times and have always had a blast. The people are the best. I’ve always met nice locals and someone always ready to have a pint.

What happened to all the proposed spring drops on the "new in" dropdown, ie, the 14 oz. white western? thank you.

@deanclean If you're headed to Dingle, you'll have no shortage of amazing music pubs to visit. We went to the few that always come up on the big "to-do lists", and maybe we caught them in between sets or something, but the best time we had was at a place that looked a little more modern/new that had seats right next to the musicians. Also, Foxy Johns i recall being a pretty unique place with being a hardware store by day and pub at night. Basically, follow your ears to find the best pub, which is easier in Dingle since it's much smaller than Dublin.

Also we had an amazing meal in Dingle at Out of the Blue. Make reservations and know that they wont open if the weather's bad because they rely on fresh seafood showing up afaik.

Our favorite pub of our last visit was in Wicklow at the Dying Cow.

Yes @pechelman i love Dingle. That’s where I worked after University. I lived there and worked for about 6 months so made my way to a few pubs. I had my favourites but even when I was just there with my wife a few years ago we went to places I had never been before. I think there is around 60 pubs with a population of under 2000 people or something crazy like that. I worked at “the Dingle Pub” needless to say I’m looking forward to my visit in May.

@Alex I just don't know where all the upcoming items are listed any more - perhaps my oversight - like the upcoming 12 oz. white western - it was on the "new in" for a while, and now I don't know where to find it.

@indigostiff I kinda get what you mean but I've never seen any of that stuff listed under New In on the site. BUT, the white western is listed on the estimated deliveries chart as far as I can tell:

Hey, fit check on a pair of 35 888. I got this cut for the thighs. Happy enough with the fit everywhere apart from the waist. I have probably just shy of an inch of extra space right out of the box. Any more stretch and they will be too big.

I'm a little confused by measurements after trying size 34 waists from Samurai/Oni/full count (I appreciate sizes differ from the tag) and some fitting and some not. I think the mid/high rise of this cut makes, what would otherwise be a bang on waist according to measurements, a little too big

@twotouches looks to be a great fit man. They shouldn’t stretch as much being under less tension especially with the belt.

agree with @flannel-slut but you could also put just the top box in hot water (80°C)

@Alex are you hoping to do a retailer visit every Spring like the past two years?

I can’t convince Katie that Gosport should take up any more of our annual travel budget? 🤷‍♂️
