@Alex When/who stamps the patches? Always assumed it was Japan prior to shipment, but I really don’t know.

@goosehd the factory, but they don't stamp samples, and like IHUK, I am sure IHJP photographs their samples to expedite the product launch process. We usually notice when something is missing/has changed, but not always and I suspect that has happened to them here

It would be very odd for a counterfeiter to take all that time to get the rest of the patch right, and then screw up the stamp right at the end.

          Take the dive...

I am aware the Mad Black denim/dying process has been kept super secret, but has any new information surfaced about it? I have a pair of XHSmb and am super curious about them. Does anyone have a faded pair (or other weights) they have photos or could take photos of? I've been reading through "regular" OD pages and while the fades are miraculous, the denim itself just looks so different.

Finally, will there ever be any double OD process similar to the Mad Black or is it just IH history at this point?

What’s the best way to remove wax from denim? I fell asleep in the chair and was woken by hot wax my daughter tried to pick up hot tea light and dropped it on my lap.

                            Ok question,
                            I believe already been answered

But seeing some people using the Tumble dryer for drying jeans.

I know it’s not recommended but still some do it.

Any benefits from it, for the Fades

@Kasi I do it all the time, especially once I’ve gotten all the shrink out. Sometimes inside out sometimes right side out. Depends on how they were washed. I use the highest setting and put tennis balls in for the wrinkles, and it has absolutely zero effect on the fading process.

I Think the effects on fading would be over time. You’d get less contrast than if you air dry them. If you don’t wash and dry infrequently it wouldn’t be as much of a problem. Ive dried mine once or twice with no significant issues.

I always tumble dry, inside-out. I can only compare to what I’ve seen online of you crazies that baby and hand-wash all your stuff, but I think lower contrast is the only difference in fades. That comes from the machine washing, and not from drying.
