Countless wears and washes on this over the last 3 years

Holy moly that is some awesome evo. I was wearing my black one the other day and noticed it lightening up to a dark grey and was wondering to myself about the evo on these shirts. When I get home, I'm going to look at it a bit closer.

I love the 11 oz. fabric of the 1600. I'm wearing my 1501 today and I have a rare thought of an improvement. @Alex is there any way Haraki would consider making the t-shirt arm opening hem (probably saying this wrong) be sewn like the hem of the bottom of the shirt instead of like the collar? It's pretty bulky and while it feels fine on its own, with a shirt over top it feels a bit annoying in there.

I suspect that one of the things that keeps this shirt looking sharp and awesome for so long is bulky arm openings and collar. Not sure of course and I don't layer with it much. Just a thought

@aksu I think that's a great point on the collar. But the arm opening shouldn't suffer the same fate as collars do, where they tend to sag fray and discolor due to skin contact over time.

I love everything about these tees, including the arm cuff, but I sometimes wish the collar was a little wider and more relaxed. It would be comfier that way.

I’ve gotta say, I think the arm cuff finishing is a great detail that makes these shirts unique… I have lots of other options for t-shirts if that “bulk” on the cuff was a problem for some reason (layering with a slim/high arm hole over shirt I suppose). Anyhow, just my $0.02. I personally hope they don’t change and I can get a black someday to go with my cream and olive!

@jordanscollected I am afraid I am with the majority here, having spent a couple of days thinking about it, I think that cuff detail is one of the defining features of this tee, so I think a change is unlikely. What I originally thought you meant was the cuff of the 1501, which I often find to be troublesome. That I think would be more likely to see a change than anything on these guys

Good to hear - this T is great as-is - the ribbed arm openings and neck are quality and are a selling point imo.

Thanks for the clarity and I appreciate the stance on it. I suppose the easy route is the one I suggested, and the over engineered route is the current construction. Still love the shirt, and I'll still consider more colors

Some evo starting to become visible on black & olive.
Planning to Indigo dye the white when summer comes.

@weftyarn hell yeah dude...I have three colors as well and also have been enjoying the evo on the olive and black. I'm interested in the indigo dying you mentioned, that's a fantastic idea.

Oh yes, I’m looking forward to it already. The white is beautiful but I have real problems keeping it clean 😅 Also I never tried indigo dying and what better way to get into.

How long have you been wearing yours? I feel like these somewhat behave like super heavy denim in that they become softer and softer with every wear and wash.

                            Use it or lose it.

@weftyarn @Filthy2123ozjunkie gave me his black one about 10 months ago and I've been wearing it at least once or twice a week since then. Ordered the olive shortly after and the cream I bought a few weeks ago.

The black has really lightened up to a charcoal grey but is still pretty much just as heavy and hardcore as it was before...but I'm considering another black one to compare the aging process.

I, too, skipped the white one and am wearing the three other colors in rotation, and one black Merz 2S14. Not enough total time on each of them for any sustantial evo. There's a lot of indigo transfer to the inside waist of the cream one, but it always cleans up nicely with a wash.

@tody Yup, exactly my experience thus far: Indigo stains always disappear easily with washing. I‘ve been living in 11Oz too over the last months. When summer comes the lighter tees will be happy again to see some wear.
