Well, on my face—the store had a ton of models in stock and I was surprised to like several options on me including Dealan, which online looked too cats-eyed for me. Walker edged out Caine for me. Queen City Optical has the goods for anyone near Denver, and great service to boot. They stock a number of other great brands like Leight as well. Cut me a deal for no particular reason other than hitting it off with them. And they dug the jacket too.

I managed to keep my admiration for JMM at arms length for a while until you people started in on them, hence the expletive.

Having said that, I am traveling tomorrow through Wednesday and as much as I’d love to showcase the piece in Atlanta, there’s going to be a fucking blizzard there and consequently I will not have room for the jacket. Of course it’s snowing here too. Which I welcome, but it is ironic that I can’t escape the snow the one time I travel south.

I’ll resume (translation: actually get started) posting here next week when I return.

We are having very strange weather upon my return to Denver. Sheets of ice cover everything and flattened our plant beds. The ice fog is nuts. I wish I could have gotten a shot of what it does to high intensity lighting. On the way home from the airport last night, parking lot lights looked like lasers shooting into the sky.
