I'm a pretty good natured drunk, so this could work. Too bad the kids aren't quite to the point where they can fend for themselves yet. Then I'd be golden.
Invite 6 friends around, issue coupons, and you'll have to sit at separate tables…
Sadly, this only works for dinner…

Speaking of laptop buffers, and completely off-topic, but my wife uses her laptop as a literal, physical buffer on flights when a neighbor spills over into her space by wedging it between seats.

That’s a great idea. I wonder if I could figure out a way to make mine heat up or maybe shock the love handles, arm giggle, and/or side boob of the person spilling into my seat….

I can handle two days if it's an eBay purchase because it's an individual with a day job, not their business. But when it's a business it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
