Does 21oz denim fade the slowest compared to all other IH denim fabrics?

@RobeOfTheMagi i don’t think particularly slow but more vintage vibes so less contrast. At least that’s what i would say! 14oz goes slower imo. But it’s just all how hard you go on them and what you’re after

@RobeOfTheMagi it does fade pretty slowly, yes. There are perhaps some more stubborn faders in the line (17oz N, maybe 19L) but it’s definitely high up the list if not the top of it

Why IH Germany unlike the US, or UK charging for shipping over 200 euro , or charging 21 euro for hemming? What kind of customer service is that!

Why IH in Germany charges for shipping over 200 euro for EU, but free for rest of the world, plus hemming starting at 21 euro while it’s free in IH UK and US!
Doesn’t sounds right to me, am l missing something or…..

@gr8-selvedge IH Germany and IH UK (which runs IH US) are two separate companies owned and operated by different people.

Edit: Each stores policies for shipping and hemming would be their own to make.

              Hopefully this answers your question.

@gr8-selvedge you should also look into the impact Brexit and German customs/import/export rules have on their shipping policies. IH Germany has excellent customer service within the boundaries of what they can control.

Basically, different countries have different legal, taxation and institutional frameworks. From a shipping perspective, a country a to country b route is known as a lane, for all sorts of reasons there is a massive variance in the cost of shipping in different lanes. I do not know of a single brand that sells at the same price with the same shipping policies in every country they do business in.

There are a few reasons why we are good at what we do, one of them is shipping. I sometimes say that our business is shipping and we just so happen to ship clothing.....

@Heavy_blue I agree actually. It rightly has a reputaion as being stubben, but the fades start coming quickly. It just takes a very long time for them to develop to an obvious level.

There’s no other denim that gives an impression of being holistically faded as the 21oz. A faded pair is a whole «thing». And the faded areas alm run in to each other in a way that doesn’t happen with the higher contrast denims.

Recently got a pair of 633 142od (there's no thread that I could find for them, so asking here). The 14oz overdye feels much more substantial than some other 15oz jeans I have. Is this because of the weave? Or possibly the shrinkage from the overdye results in a slightly heavier fabric per yard? They feel more like 16-17oz.... I'm not complaining! Love them.... just interested....

We do not exaggerate the weight of our denim, others may do. and yes, the over-dying process tightens up the weave.

Currently squeezing out a lime and have been noticing over the past couple months how much drier limes have been, yielding about half the juice. I initially thought I was picking poorly but have been coming across this regularly and through a variety of grocery stores. I live in northeast US and was wondering if members in other parts of the country/world have been experiencing the same?

@flannel-slut not an answer to your question but I read the first line and assumed squeezing out a lime must be a euphemism (I’m somewhat relieved it’s not). Wishing you luck with future lime selection!

@flannel-slut could be because citrus season is in the fall, but probably more just large scale farming. I’ve noticed so many things are kinda bland tasting, but yep I’ve def especially noticed w lemons and limes.

@popvulture too true man. I won’t turn this into a rant but dark days when your citrus is not worth the squeeze.
