Pronto does different cuts. I have the tapered cut in the 10th anniversary and it’s very much like a 777 I know that denim came in a straight cut as well. I’m not sure if this one came in both but the straight version is probably more like a 501 like @Jett129 said. The 15th anniversary was an 888.

@Matt yes is came in a straigh cut also and it appears closer to a 666. Kinda like a slim straight.

I'll differ, because there's lots of different 501's. You have to define which, or it means nothing.
I had actually thought about that when I,originally,made the post. I have zero knowledge of how current 501s are cut,so I’d be basing my response on the 70s to the early 2000s when I last wore them. My response is also based on my perception of Pronto’s rise,thighs,and leg opening compared to how I think my 501s used to fit. Take that with a very big grain of salt.

Pronto does/did do different cuts, but the "pronto cut" is designed by them, all the other releases were based on one of our core jeans.

They’re still out there.. Brand new, just waiting.. Even 10 years later..!! I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.. What a thrill. Now if I could just find a pair of PIH5DCS in this condition in a 33-34 I could finally put my quest to rest. I’ll just continue begging the cosmos and who knows.. They’ve delivered thus far. Just takes a little while

@Oaktavia thanks mang! Craziest part is that it was two pair, back to back, both brand new. First, Kasi put a pair up for sale here in the forum in a tag 32 which I snapped up immediately but when they arrived I could tell without even trying them on that they were going to be way to small, they barely measured a size 30.. I was so bummed because I was certain I had just nabbed the last new pair of these in existence. Then not even two days later I was lurking on a Thailand buy / sell page and someone put up a WTB post for the PIH5DCT in some random size and in the comments another person said “I’ve got a brand new pair in a size 33 that I’ll never sell” I messaged him with an offer and they were in the mail the next day!! I put the newly purchased pair from Kasi up for sale and within a matter of hours they were snatched up by another IH junky who couldn’t believe he had found a pair, said he’d been searching for years, so I’m stoked they went to a good home! But man I swear Thailand has the secret stash, and from what I’ve experienced people are wiling to sell, you just gotta keep your eyes peeled and get ready to have several conversations that require careful translation including helping with setting up PayPal and walking through how to ship to the States.. BUT, it’s doable!! So I guess just keep digging and try not to lose hope OR maybe we could convince @Alex to be a hero and pull the fabric sample for a new limited run

@AdamJ I remember not having the funds to buy a pair when they first dropped and watching them sell out size by size.. it wasn’t until about 3 years later that I was able to find a brand new pair and I haven’t really seen any since then. It’s so weird that these didn’t do well in Thailand when they were released with Pronto but then became an absolute grail denim everywhere else..!?? Given the success of the XHSib it would seem there would be more conversation about doing another 25oz in an indigo x indigo.. Has there been?? Or is it a lost hope.. Can you imagine doing a limited run based on the 634 now that trends have shifted back to a wider leg? I have a feeling they would fly off the shelf..

@alexswords i hear you! That and the PIH-XHS were two awesome pairs.
I see your point but given the popularity of the XHSib I would argue that it's serving that role well and a Ind/Ind would be overkill somewhat? I guess you can argue both sides.
But, given the difficulties we're having making the current XHS lineup, I can't see another model jumping on the production line unfortunately

I think once they give an exclusive on a fabric to a retailer, that retailer is the only one that can re-run it. This really is the best 25oz though. I’d love to have a wider pair.
In this particular case pronto would not mind. It sold like crap for them, so we used all the spare denim to make jeans for us, and bought shitloads of jeans back from them....
