Nice to be able to drive 30min and be in the Mounatins. Wearing my favorite Iron Heart Flannel IHSH-101-TG. Unreal how warm and windproof these are. 555xhsib on the legs, also incredibly warm and windproof.

@Oaktavia i think your 555-01's look great. i bought my usual tag size (31) and they were comfy (not to tight, not to loose) out of the bag. I think there's just something very special about this flag ship 21oz denim.. I feel like you could were it super tight and let it loosen over time or you could wear it loose and easy. I think you're right in that sweet spot.
Here's a couple fit pics from shortly after i bought mine from Berkeley Supply Co. in Denver (Great dudes BTW)

2.14.19 Update on my new PIH5DCT. nothing to see evo wise. i just liked the pic
@Oaktavia Isn't it crazy what happens when the evening light hits just right!!?? @twin your pair is looking AWESOME!! it looks like they hven't seen any water yet! is that correct?? @Smiladon WELCOME to the Forum my fellow 555XHSib brethren. been loving all the updates lately. here's a couple quick shots of mine from the other day when the light was just right. Keep em coming!!

End of the month / March update / 300 of 365 days for the Indigo Invitational / Approx 200 wears

@Oaktavia looking great dude, those electric blues are peeking through quite nicely.
This is heartbreaking. I can't count the number of conversations I had with him here on the forum. Such a thoughtful and passionate person. I hope he found his peace.
Your Denim may have been faded but our memory of you will not be.
RIP Mike
Looking at both the jacket and jeans i really appreciate the different orientation of the material at the pockets.. instead of the denim all facing the same direction you'll notice the pockets on the type II are at a 90 degree angle or "perpendicular" to the rest of the jacket.. same thing with the jeans and the front pockets.. excellent detail choice.
@Kasi those are the "snap caps" and not the "snap upgrades" correct?
@Brock hey dude, what size snap cap is that on the wills
i'll throw my name in the hat for a vote on something similar to the Ship John anorak prototype.. it's so bizarre but i love it.
@Kasi that's it! they look great, size up to 34 was the answer.
@Kasi fit pics of the new 777XHSib ???
@Kasi I'm happy i could help sway your decision to give 777 another try! I think you will be pleasantly surprised
@Smiladon Thank you my dude, you're too kind! And i have to say your pair is looking great, it's obvious you've been putting in some major hours because they're definitely showing it! Also i love the no cuff stacked look you've got going
Can't wait to see what they look like after the year is up!
@hoppy_IPA thanks man! i'll keep this thread updated at least once a month.
@twin thanks for l noticing! it sure does take longer for the indigo to start shifting if you keep this denim dry but i'm excited to see the outcome, If in fact i can manage to keep them dry long enough to find out..
@neph93 "this is the way"
@Giles The enabler of all things awesome as always
@Lowlander So last year i hot soaked early, and soaked again twice more along the way, however, i didn't really see any noticeable indigo transition until about 8 months in but then they just seemed to transform almost over night.. This year i've decided to keep them dry for as long as i can to allow the denim to create as much character as possible.. It's quite interesting to see what kind of affect a slightly different approach and subtle changes in variables will have on the same of denim over the course of 12 months.. I will say this, although rather stubborn, the XHSib is one of the greatest denims i've ever had the pleasure of wearing
