I feel like UPS is running a scam at this point. I'm already pissed enough about the tariff situation and the loss of de minimus tax exemptions but UPS charging a ~$40 brokerage fee just to get a package in the country on top of the tariffs is the icing on the cake. This was for $100 pair of Mykita sunglasses I bought my wife from Japan (no to mention that the seller neglected to inform me that they had prescription lenses in them):

Yup….
-
@flannel-slut gonna put that on your belt loop buddy?
-
@Matt I would rather shout, “SPEAK W A REPRESENTATIVE” while waiting on hold for 2 hours than go through the experience of securing another one of those little fuckers.
-
@flannel-slut Imma be honest, I thought that was an edible.
-
@ZackB hilarious and not exactly edible
-
@flannel-slut I looked it up, don’t eat that hahaha

On that basis, everything that has ever been made or will be made is "Limited"
Arseholes.....

Limit: “as many as we can sell”

we have an employee referral program that provides massive bonuses after 30 days of employment. I've referred dozens of people over the years, 25% or so have been hired and met the requirement. I've received one bonus. Fucking horseshit. Slimy corporate bastards.

We put this on one time during our beach trip this summer and it was stuck on my head the rest of the week. And now it is again.
-
@WhiskeySandwich that sucks but seems like the norm these days. I worked at Wendy’s in high school and if we worked over time they would just put 40 hours on your check. Then they would move your “overtime” hours to the next pay period so they didn’t have to pay you the extra for working overtime.
-
Well, that’s illegal. Unfortunately, statue of limitations is two years.
-
@northsouthdenimguy yep l, realized that after the fact but then I just started calling out haha. Pretty much did it to everybody there. And it’s been about 25 years

Update:
Well, I barked this up the tree to HR with some help. After initially getting bullshitted, we took it higher, and I'm happy to report that it was quickly rectified. They're currently processing more IH fun-coupons for me for my overlooked bonuses....just in time for the holidays.Still a bit disheartening that ground level HR is so quick to deny, and you have to raise anything to get it dealt with appropriately. Really glad they fixed it tho.
