Dang. I did not know such a thing existed. One for the wanted list, just like the 25oz vest...
-
@tody So many cool pieces from before my time here that keeps popping up.

@Oaktavia Awesome that you were able to find one! Like new, no less.
This one and the IH-X526J are top on my most wanted list.
I am so happy to have one coming my way. It's all thanks to @Raisinoux for the tip off. Like new makes it even better but I would have been happy to have one in any condition. This is an IH fever dream come reality.
I also had no idea about the IH-X526J. I know what forum rabbit home I'm headed down this evening.
-
@Oaktavia Congrats, such a cool find. Hats off to @Raisinoux
Will be great to follow along as you take it through its paces.
-
@JunkPants part of me wants to hold off wearing it but I don't think I'll be able to
-
@Oaktavia I say go for it!
-
@JunkPants likely...watch this space.
-
@JunkPants +1000
GO FOR IIIIT !!! -
When i saw the post about that jacket for sale in mint condition i knew i had to do something, it couldn't just vanish and land in a random non forum member house. A grail piece deserves a grail home !!!

@Raisinoux fortunately, the 526J22OD I have been working on this year has faded faster than expected. So, I feel I have a fair amount of steps towards my goal with that one. It should take the DD a few weeks to reach land in West Virginia anyway which gives me a little more time with the 22OD...thoughts are now properly sorted.
-
@Raisinoux Good looking out! This one definitely ended up in the perfect place.

Did a warm soak on my 526J-DD the other day to get rid of all the shrinkage.
Shoulders: 20'' -> 19.8''
Length: 26.75'' -> 26.25''
P2P: 22.7'' -> 22''
Waist: 20.5'' -> 20.3''
Opening: 21.2'' -> 21''
Sleeve: 27.6'' -> 27''Good to know the DD shrinks, quite a bit if need be. Nearly a whole size in some areas. I might just follow the UHR instructions by hot soaking and washing it. Which would be the Filthy Method as he was usually interested in removing all shrink to avoid the dreaded fade shift. I can hear him saying in my head (you're gonna want to get all that shrink out).

Wow! I didnt know any of these fresh specimens existed anymore… so happy for you! And very jelly!!

It makes me wonder how many other long lost, unworn grail items are out there folded in someone's dresser drawer or hanging in a closet. I have found a few older pieces but not unworn ones, so I feel quite fortunate. I will wear it in the name of Mike.
