@mclaincausey it’s honestly pretty amazing.

First In-N-Out experience(yesterday). Hopefully I don’t piss anyone off, but the burger was amazing. The Animal Style version actually reminded me a bit of what McDonald’s used to be like 40+ years ago. The flavor profile on the bun and sauce is a little different, but the softness of the bun and the overall feel of the meat had a similar vibe.
The fries were not quite as impressive on their own. I think the sunflower oil gives them a slightly different flavor and they did not seem as crispy as I expected. They are definitely better once you start adding toppings.
The chocolate milkshake, though, was excellent. Really good.
Overall, just my first impression. I can definitely see why people like the place.

Sticky rice topped with Asian bananas
Not sure if this falls under sweet or savory but grandma knows to set aside at least 5 for this white boy

Went out for smørrebrød for lunch. I didn’t get a picture of the mackerel I started with, but the piece with mushrooms on fried wheat bread was as good as it looks:

Woody’s is an Atlanta institution, even though this one is in Buckhead and not the original Midtown location. Still so good.
Edit: Cheesesteaks are

@northsouthdenimguy love the burgers there. a couple of years ago i went straight to the In and Out next to LAX after like 20hrs of travelling ( from Aus). wish we had this franchise over here.

I hope you don't post too many more of these

Ok that’s it…. for today

@GraemeE That looks delicious

@goosehd i'm totally NOT a fine dining person, you can feed drunken me a kebap at 2am and it'll be the best thing i ever had. but this place is growing on me, and i don't even mind the wine that comes with the chef's menu. the only fear i have that this is a sign that i'm getting old...

The wife’s been out of town for about a week in Mexico on her oldest daughter’s senior trip, so I’ve been eating whatever I want. Just crushed my “last meal” since their plane just landed and they’re on the way home.
Asada, pastor, birria, chorizo, and barbacoa tacos… plus a couple mandatory mandarin Jarritos.

-
@northsouthdenimguy that is going big. 5 tacos, 2 juices, 0 regrets.
-
No Regerts…one Jarritos and 3 or 4 tacos are never enough
