@Danimal506, @Chibs thanks fellas. I think it’s that flu strain that’s going around. Caught it on Boxing Day and just now starting to feel a bit better. I have my IH shipments delivered to my office address, so this will be delayed gratification lol

@Chibs, I sent with the large size as well. I think you and I are the same size in IH denim👍

Ok guys, turn away if you don’t want to see my impression of plumber butt lol, but I actually would appreciate some advice here.

I woke up feeling MUCH better this morning so I jetted off to work (5 min drive) to snag these from my office.

First impressions, I LOVE the feel of these pants, just like the hoodies and sweat top that I own. I just can’t say enough about how much I love the IH fabric used here.

Here’s the thing … theses pants don’t really seem to fit me all that well. To clarify, when I’m standing or walking around the house they’re great, but as soon as I bend to sit down or bend over …. They almost slide off my butt. What’s weird is that they fit perfectly in the waist (un tied). I’d say, comfortably snug across the hips and waist. There’s plenty of stretch in them.

I wear 34/35, in 634 and 666 cuts. My waist is 17.5. These are size large.

Anyone else have this issue? Would sizing up help? I’m afraid I may have to return them as they just don’t seem to work for me 😞

            Here’s are a few fit pics…

Sizing up may help marginally, but I don’t think that’ll fix it. FWIW mine are the same, and I think they’re great reagardless. Hike em up and tie them at your natural waist and they’ll stay put better.

FWIW I have the same issue with all IH cuts and pants except 463 and 816, and sometimes cargoes. The differential between front and rear rise isn’t big enough.

@Brandrea I have that issue on mine, as well as the shorts made from the same fabric. I tie the waist and it mitigates it enough for me. My wife has seen worse around the house.

Sorry to hear they are sliding off @Brandrea Comfortably snug when untied is probably not ideal for sweatpants. Sizing up might help.

@sabergirl Thanks for that detail, appreciate it. Now that you mention it, I do have the same issue in my denim, now that I think of it. I see what you mean about the front/rear rise ratio and that makes sense.

I’ll sleep on it before I decide on what to do. I really like everything else about them ….

I’m tempted to order the XL just to see if it makes a difference … no black but olive are still available.

@Brandrea I just tried the same squat with them on and mine don’t feel like they’re sliding off or showing my butt. I have mine tied though. Maybe try that and see if it helps? As other’s have mentioned, the elastics aren’t strong like other joggers so this may be contributing. Apart from that, they look like they fit so idk.

Here’s one from the other day. They aren’t as warm as my Uniqlo heattech pile lined sweatpants but they’re more comfortable all around and especially @ indoor temperatures.

I may be wearing sweatpants (and anything with a drawstring) wrong all of these years. I’ve always pulled the string taught at the top of my hip bones and tied the strings. Always thought of it as a natural ledge and a great place for the string to set. Never tight enough that it digs in uncomfortably, but tight enough that it doesn’t slide down…

                            Just my $.02

Thanks for the comments. I tried tying them at the waist, and although it helps some, I think @sabergirl might be onto something regarding the rise, as I don’t seem to be the only one with this fit issue.

I decided to order the last pair of XL in olive this morning, just to compare. By the looks of it there’s about 1.2” more in the XL olive rear rise as compared to the Large black, and am hoping this does the trick. I figure if I have to tie them at the waist I might as well see if a size up improves things (for me).

I’ll post here again once I receive them.

                              Thanks everyone 🙂

@Brandrea I’m curious to hear the results. For me it was XL or XXL, which the difference is only .4” in the rear.

@Danimal506 the measurements really varied greatly between the olive and the black. We’ll see what I get and I’ll circle back here when they arrive.

These finally just arrived. Unsure if I should have sized up to an XL or not. My typical size in the 888 is either a 35 or 36. My best fitting pair is my 888 XHS which are size 35. These fit pretty well, trim but comfortable throughout the legs, which is how I like my sweats, like a modern trim jogger, not sloppy and baggy. They are a little tight in the the crotch and butt area, which if I compare measurements between the L and XL, the rise seems to be the only real difference between the two, so maybe that would have helped. I have worn them around the house now for a little while and they have loosened up considerably so maybe they were the right call and I will just accept that they fit a little tight after washing. The fabric is amazing though and they immediately feel more substantial and cozy then my Nike sweat pants.

What's everyone's washing routine with this, are you washing them after every wear?

@Johnnyutah247 I've washed them once so far after getting some tiger balm on them. Cold water, delicate cycle with low spin and hang dry. They haven't shrunk at all using this method although I think if they were washed after every wear they would start to come in a bit.
